| Dissecting Delusions This is my blog, obviously. Nothing to say as of yet, simply establishing the thread for future use. |

The billions of solar systems with trillions of planets... Earth- only a tiny marble among one of them, on the outskirts of the seemingly infinite universe... Each individual not even a tiny speck upon a planet that is not even a tiny speck in the cosmic big picture. This tiny planet, having existed eons upon eons... My name is Randolph. Here is my factual delusion:
It was a fall night in the year 2000...
Two of my friends (Xerxes and Quincy) and I were out walking around an abandoned so called "haunted" house. We doubted there was any truth to any of the preposterous rumors and tales we had heard about “ghosts” and “spirits” and whatnot being there. Why, we scoffed at the very idea. We were walking around and we kept hearing noises that sounded like chains or perhaps a dog leash. A sound one would expect from a chained dog walking around. We saw nothing. No dog, no chain, no chained dog… We eventually decided to leave and go check out another house, as there were a few more in the area. We drove on the dirt road past another abandoned house. I was in the back seat. One of my friends, Xerxes, who was riding in the front passenger seat, said to wait, that he saw something. I thought he was just imagining things, or trying in vain to be comedic, but Quincy, who was driving, turned the car around and headed for a second pass on the house. On the way back I clearly and distinctly saw a transparent blue figure, in the shape of a human form. It was standing motionless close to the house, which was set quite a ways back from the road. The figure then began moving in the direction of the car, as we drove by, at a rapidly increasing pace. Xerxes and I were, of course, yelling for Quincy to hurry up, but he couldn't go very fast due to the extremely bumpy dirt road and the fact that he was driving a fairly small, low-to-the-ground car. The figure's arms and legs were moving as though it was running, but I would say it was gliding. The grass and weeds over the whole field were extremely tall (we knew from walking up to a house earlier) and it was rather difficult to walk in such conditions. I can’t imagine a human running so smoothly over such high, thick grass. It didn't move up and down as it took strides, just forward at us... closer and closer; it seemed to be gaining speed. Xerxes and Quincy both clearly saw the exact same thing; there was certainly no doubt amongst us at that moment. I could see that the figure was almost right on top of us. It couldn’t have been more than 15 or 20 feet from the car (and I could still see straight through it) as I turned around to tell Quincy to hurry again. I turned back around to watch the figure engulf us, (or whatever it intended to do... for whatever reason it was chasing us) I saw that it was gone.

| Ok, that ghost story really freaked me out
I don't know if I would believe it if someone told me that they had seen something like that. I have heard some pretty strange stories, though, some even very similar to the one in your post, so you never know, I suppose...
By the way, where did you get the story?
I just heard a strange sound...no more ghost stories for me tonight!

By the way, what is that image, exactly? |
