Haha, old posts are so funny, yet embarassing.

Why do you think the death was caused by "hiding behind defenseless children" and not just our bombing of population centers?

We had to bomb population centers because they were using civilians as body shields.

Then again, who's to say Americans did that at all? 80% of civilian deaths were caused by fellow Iraqis. Maybe the guy holding her up did it.

??

If they would have put their army out in the desert, away from the cities, fought us, and then surrendered when we won, we would have ended it there. Are you suggesting that if there was no compulsion to bomb cities, we would just do it for fun? As in, we could have won the war without going into the cities, but we just decided to maliciously kill civilians on a whim?

Haha! Are you serious? Oh please, enemies, go out someplace in the open where there is no cover so we, the far more powerful self-declared rulers of the world, can find you easily and rain down bombs on your head.

I'm saying we shouldn't have gone to war in the first place, and we probably could have avoided killing so many civillians. We were bombing cities. It isn't as though the carried some women and children along with them to use as shields; we were bombing places were people lived.

Then collateral damage will ensue. Nations didn't really use these kinds of tactics until the last century.

Which means that you object to urban warfare in toto, as far as I can tell. Not only does this make us militarily impotent, but I would imagine that it would also condemn a number of the tactics used by Israel under God's guidance.
