How long did it go for?
Did you perform?
Hopefully next year when you go around NZ, I'll see you perform. Btw the samoan christian rally thing I went to last night was cool too. | It was about a two hour performance but It went very quickly!! I had so much fun!! No I didn't perform. If I get on tour then I will be performing but maybe I will be performing at the Bruce Mason center when I graduate in October... who knows...

| 6 September 2002 Friday I did my worship leading yesterday morning with alot of misshaps though. But otherwise I think it went alright. We had news yesterday too though that my course will be finishing a month early which is so sad. So right now we are rushing to finish everything off before exams and everything. I still graduate on the 31 October but we finish on the 27 September. I also did my vocal assesment today and got 75% for it. The song was "Prayer" by Celine Dion... great song but difficult!! Anywayz....I'll say goodbye......chow....adios.......Nix

| A Celine song! Wow Nix, what's left after that?!! You're an awesome singer and I hope you keep leading worship for people 'cuz that may be how God starts your network of people who will lead to your singing career.
I know some day you will be famous and you won't have time for CGR and your fan club will respond to our cards with generic formletters, and your managers will advise you not to accept any gifts from us, but I hope you don't forget us! We'll always be praying for you and cheering for you! |

| Hi Jay!!!
Nice to know you decided to pay my little thread a visit
Thanx for the encouragement Jay (and to you nga_puhi_guy)!!
I really needed that Do you remember a pic you posted I think on your "ask Jay anthing" thread of Celine Dion and she's singing and leaning way back!! Could you find it and post it on here and I'll explain why she does that.... oh, if I remember correctly, it was when I was complaining about a sore back or hip or something Thanx
How are you doing and your family??
Nix

| Hi Nixie, me & mine are doing just fine, thank you! That is so nice - asking me about my family on YOUR journal! Okay, here is the famous Celine singing pose. Tell us if you have mastered it:

| LOL
Well I would'nt say I have mastered it but I can explain why she does, it's her way of reaching the higher notes. It makes it easier for her, and she uses some thing called the last just below our shoulder blades I think it is... it makes it easier to reach the higher notes.
Does that make sence??

| 21 September 2002 Well, I'm so excited as I said before.. I had a break through in my last worship leading class on Friday!! We were sharing with each other what this year has meant to us and towards I started to cry...which is not like me at all!!!
The John, my worship leading teacher, had a word for us all and he bagan to cry as we are is first full year class and the other day God woke (shucks I'm crying now..*sniff sniff*) to write down words for all of us in his class.
What he gave to me was just so true and so touching.... I burst out crying even more, I couldn't even control it. I felt so ashamed because I had not given God my full attention and not spending time with Him. I have been to scared too because I knew I had to give things over.
I was preparing to lead worship for our church's prayer meeting on Friday night and the songs I chose were spot on and God came through heaps. The I had worship team practise afterwards and we were praying and I was soooo happy because I could really pray!!! I got revelation for a scripture this other singer brought and I was just sensing Gods presance and hearing His voice so well. I was stoked and still am. I then found myself on my knees and the next thing I'm praying "Lord thank you for the gifs and talents you have given us all and I want to give it all back to you. I lay it down to show you that you are more important to me than anthing else"
God's just wonderful.. here's the word that John gave to me:
P.S If you can't read it well, let me know and I'll type it out k
