Most likely because nix is a South African more than she is a New Zealander. She did spend the first 18 odd years of her life here in South Africa.

About the negative rep points I gave Slap_J: Thats what I believe rep points are for. When you agree with a post, you give positive rep points and when you feel a post is worth negative rep points then thats what it's for. He is the first person I have used it on. I was disgusted that he was encouraging others to us a real disgusting word, yes it's my opinion, but thats just it and thats what the rep points are for. I find that phrase very insulting though it wasn't addressed to me.

As for my accent, I have only lived in NZ for 2 years and a couple of months now. I lived the first 18 years of my life in South Africa, Cape Town.

Hey Tim... what you been up too? I haven't seen you around for ages!!! You would be the first to say I look kinda like Jennifer Knapp Waiting for an hour to listen to wav files can be a huge pain!! Thats why I do all my internet stuff at work Soooooo much faster and easier.... if I do it at home, I end up almost smashing the computer it frustrates me so much!!!

I haven't been doing too much... I survived my first week of college (and it was my first "school" experience since...like... 4th grade) fairly well. My internet situation has been a pain for about a month now (28kbps and slower) so I've had trouble getting on cgr and going where I want. Smashing your computer.... not very effective... but I know the feeling all to well But if it makes you feel any better...

lol i'd lvoe to have a 28,8 connection consistenly. mine is typically slower which means i have to have more windows open to keep busy while i wait for the page to load... :kroll:

This is extra special as most of you know, I didn't see him the whole of last week. And this weekend I only got to see him Friday night for a little while and then Sunday church So that card is EXTRA special!!!

Parents!!!!!!!!!!! My mother is driving me insane!!! They just don't know when to give up, they don't understand tactfulness, they don't leave you alone when you ask nicely so end up in a screaming match with them and best of all.... TOTALY INTERFEARING!!! Why can't they just leav me alone!!! Leave Max and I alone, they just have to know everything about my relationship and they give advice even though I didn't ASK FOR IT!!! To top it off, the advice she does give is based on her past and she thinks I'm like HER!!!! They don't encourge me but rather tell me how I should have done things!! GET A GRIP WOMAN!!! GET A LIFE!!! GROW UP!!! GET OVER IT!!!

Then she talks to others about me and him, saying how I'm going about things the wrong way and how I should do it this way and how selfish I am!!!

All because Max was really busy this weekend so I only got to see him on Friday night and Sunday at church!! Now I came home from church and of course I'm going to be dissapointed!!! Who wouldn't be... so she says I'm being selfish!! I don't get it!!!! I wouldn't be human if I was dissapointed!!! And on top it when she talks to others, she doesn't even give the facts straight!!!!

I'm so sorry girl!! I know parents are so tough to live with and can get on your nerves. As much as they irritate and piss you off they LOVE YOU and just want for you to do the best in life as you can. Although those desires can turn into annoyances and fights and be more negative than positive at times...anyway I lost my train of thought, but I love ya m'dear Nicola. Hang in there and beat the crap out of a pillow if need be but not a wall...they hurt lol
