| Wow. It's been awhile since I posted here. Exams are DONE!! I didn't study for english, and studied a bit for the other 3. Biology wasn't too bad. I just finished that about half an hour ago... Chemistry was... well, it was Chemistry. I'm still pretty anti-chemistry. the math wasn't too bad. I didn't have a great mark going in, but I'd worked really hard & had a passing grade. I should be ok. It's been crazy, and I can hardly believe it's over. It's going to be really weird over the next few weeks with nothing to study.
Ummmm... I've been off my coffee. I haven't had coffee since Monday. I'm going crazy!! I made cinnamon rolls last night. Double batch. I have about a dozen that I brought home with me. I left some with Chris, some at Pastor Dave's, and the rest we devoured at College & Careers... except that there were only 4 of us... we ate ALOT of cinnamon rolls....
Ummmm... yeah. and I'm staying here for another week. ((limited computer access, though. I have this thing where I don't come to the college when I don't have classes...)) I'm heading home on the 21st, I think. Don't know when I'll be back. Don't know what I'm doing for New Year's. hmmm... there isn't alot I DO know right now...

| wellll... it's been... a week? I've checked email twice over the last week, but this is my first time on CGR since my last post here.
It's been a very lazy week. I tended to stay up till 1 AM either reading or playing Tetris or something... and then sleep till 11. It's been great.
This afternoon we're going to see Lord of the Rings. Tomorrow I'm heading home for a week. Well, the tenative plan is this: I go home tomorrow, come back the following Saturday... stick around till either New Years' Day or the day after & then Chris and I will go home for 3 or 4 days...
Which reminds me... does anyone want to listen to me whine about not seeing Chris next week???

ummmmm... I'm home now... it was a boring, uneventful drive home. I drove past 2 or 3 pretty bad accidents.
Oh! and I don't have a bedroom anymore! See, I was talking about settling in Sarnia last time I was home, so they were talking about making what was my room into my little brother's room and turning his room into a playroom. Which was ok, I just didn't expect it to happen so quickly.

| Hi Dana!
I guess I'd rather have a boring car ride than the ride those people in the accidents had, eh?
Have a merry Chris-less Christmas, I hope!
*note - to everyone else, that is a reference to her currently-in-another-town friend Chris. I was not trying to type "Christ-less" as that would not be Dana's life! That would be Phil Donahue's or Martha Stewart's life. Thank you. |

Merry Christmas Dana! | Merry Christmas to you, too!!
Today was a family dinner on my dad's side of the family. Most of these people I only see once a year. My dad, stepmom, and brother sometimes 3 times a year... you know the drill... there weren't many of us there. Great Grandma couldn't make it. Grandpa decided not to come. he's doing ye olde "ba humbug" kinda thing. But it was nice enough.
tomorrow we're having some "strays" in for Christmas dinner. and I get to make a couple long-distance calls to wish peoples a merry christmas and such... I think I shall call my best friend tonight, and thus lighten the load for tomorrow.
Good news, for those who are truely interested. I tend to get depressed this time of year. Other than my whining about missing Chris, I'm doing well! It's the first time in 7 years I can honestly say I'm doing well during the holidays! God is great!

| Hmmmm... it's been awhile. I'm home again till Sunday. Classes start on Monday. I'm supposed to sing at church on Sunday but I don't know what yet... I've been having alot of headaches lately. It's miserable stuff.
Ummmm... we're watching Star Wars. A movie a night. I'd never seen them before. Yes. I've lived a sheltered life.
as far as college and classes and such... I just arranged my elective ((psychology)) via email and telephone. I've got about 25 hours of class this semester. That includes 3 labs. I don't have math, but I DO have biology, chemistry and physics. I've got a new chemistry teacher, though. That should help matters. ummmmm... yeah. that's about all I can think of right now. I'll write more when something exciting happens...

| first day of new semester: Ooookay. well... I quite wasn't looking forward to this semester. It just looked like ALOT of work. It'll still be work, but there's good news. First off, Erin won a textbook today! a $130 textbook! we're going to share it.
ummmm... the day wasn't nearly as long or as difficult as I expected. I'm on my way home shortly to eat some wonderful leftover roast beef & gravy ((thankyou gramma)) and head off to youth group.
Be in prayer. I need to find a job. I'd love to get into the routine of things first and THEN job hunt, but... we shall see...

| Ok, I kept some of my big, exciting news to myself when I posted the other day. Not 'cause I didn't want to shout it from the mountain tops, but because I wanted to run into youth group on Monday night and be all excited without there being any risk of the guys already knowing. I did well.
Ummmmm... first off, we have no chemistry!! see, I was really dreading this semester 'cause we were dealing with Health, Biochemistry, Physics, Chemistry, Psychology... it just looked like alot. And there is no chemistry! they dropped it from the program! That was great news.
Let's see... what else? no final exams in either psych or english.
Yeah. It's just been a really good week so far. I'm surprised, honestly. I learned as a child that when you anticipate things, you get disappointed & if you set low expectations you just may be pleasantly surprised. Yes, I'm aware that this sounds REALLY pessimistic. Welcome to my life. Anyhow, that's the way my week is panning out, however I'm still not optimistic about things. I've gotten to the point where I'm thinking "the rate of speed things are going, someone's going to die by the end of this week." It's just the way things work. Things are going nicely and suddenly...

| Well, no one died last week. At least, no one I knew died last week. I did receive some bad news from home, but I'm not gonna post that here. It's just...
I had a great weekend! didn't get enough sleep, but I can make up for that now because I don't have a class for another 4 hours.
I need to make 2 doctors appointments... and we just discovered that our biochemistry teacher checks homework. it's like a crime! college teachers don't check homework...
ummm... oh! I'm officially on the youth praise team at the church I attend here. I'd been going to alot of the practices anyhow 'cause Chris was on the praise team ((it was where I made most of my progress in the LOTR books)) and I sorta filled in at Christmas. I invited myself and had a blast... so as of last Friday night, I'm on the praise team. Yay!!!
I had an arguement with Gramma on the phone on Saturday about my getting a job at Crabby Joe's. Gramma in the end said, "don't you get a job there." and I hung up thinking... "whatever." I know. very mature. Anyhow, as it worked out, Sunday School ((be it known, I think we've officially moved into the adult sunday school class)) was about obeying parents and stuff. Boy, God doesn't waste any time, does he???
