| A couple days later: Less frustrated with family. I love them, it's just easier to deal with them when they're 2 hours away. Less tired. 'course it helps that I skipped 2 afternoon classes yesterday and slept. Less frustrated with math. This is me being brave. I don't particularily like math ((in spite of my claiming to date algebra earlier on in the semester)) but if I plug away at it enough... it's surviveable. did I spell that right??? uh... yeah. it helps that I've got a great math teacher. It's kinda funny, though, that I can handle the stuff that everyone else finds to be torture, and what everyone else finds easy takes me alot of work to get...
Yah. And there's still the torture that is chemistry. it'll take a miracle for me to pass that one... ok. negative attitude.
And... that's about it. I've taken to drinking my coffee black again, but that wasn't vital information.

| Well, it's Friday!!! Which means that the weekend is only a few hours away. I think I'm staying here this weekend as opposed to going home. Should be nice... Besides, I've got a bit of studying to catch up on.
A friend of mine from here is gone home this weekend, and left this morning... I'm all alone... But she needed the visit home, so I guess I'll stop whining... wait, what am I saying?!?
Hmm... beyond that, there isn't alot going on. I'm gonna go home now and do a math assignment, get some lunch ((how weird is it that I eat lunch at 10:30/11:00?!?)) and call home!

| oy. I slept in this morning... I was in bed by 11 last night ((and therefore did my chem lab conclusions in the 10 minutes before it was due...)) and I was SURE I'd set the alarm... but I woke up at 7:15 because someone was using the microwave & since the halls echo... yah. so it was a flat out rush to get up & dressed--I'm wearing pajama pants--and to class on time.
I had a fascinating weekend. I called home on Friday afternoon & was asked if I was coming home for the weekend... and I said no & the response was "Good. You don't have to come home every weekend. Give us a break." Yes, so Saturday I basically slept, ate, watched TV and studied... I believe I've caught up on sleep. Finally!! And exams are coming up. I'm amazed that I'm this close to the end of the semester and I"m not sleep deprived.
Ummm... yeah. Not much else to say. Not alot going on right now. I'm sorta in the "calm before the storm" because I've no major tests coming up, no major assignments due... it's ok. I'm not stressed out. It's scary. Yes. Anyhow... I should go do something productive.

Anywayses, as mentioned in Timmy's Blog, it snowed. I drove in snow a couple weeks back when I went home, but this is ridiculous... it took me 20 minutes to clean the car off... the driveway is in no way shovelled or cleaned out ((I cannot handle it being like this all winter. I need a shovel!)) and my clothes are still wet over an hour later... As if that weren't enough to make me dislike the current weather, I didn't see Chris last night 'cause he didn't want me to drive to his place in the snow.
Beyond that, there's not alot more to say than there was yesterday...

| Ok, you'd think after 5 posts in a row I'd catch on. No one's reading this. Ah well...
Ummm... ok. So logic would dictate that Tuesday when Chris wouldn't come over because of the snow storm, I should've been studying. It'd be good use of my time. What'd I do instead?? I dyed my hair... hehe... Again, the only thing I'm terribly behind on is Chemistry.
I'm staying here again this weekend, I guess. Today I'm going to London--halfway home--shopping with a friend. I think I'm mostly window shopping, but whatever... The thing is I'm mostly done Christmas shopping! I could pick up something more for Chris... and for my little brother... and I haven't figured out yet what to get for Grampaw, but otherwise... The unfortunate thing is, yesterday I spent a fair bit buying myself Christmas presents. I shouldn't have, but... yeah.
Oh, and in all the excitement over the snow, I managed to strip the rubber off the windshield wiper on the passenger's side of the car... After careful examination I decided that I could fix it, so yesterday I took the wiper off & while I fixed lunch, Erin fixed the windshield wiper. Anyhoo... when I went to put the wiper back on, we were sorta rushed for time, so I tried to do it in a hurry, and quite possibly broke the wiper. I shall try again now... I've been wiperless for a couple days now. If I can't get it on now I shall have to go buy another one.

| I read, but I just don't say anything. It's safer to protect my innocence that way.

| Hey Dana, you wanted someone else to post in your journal, and though I'm a nobody, I'll post anyway.
How's your weekend?

How's your weekend? | You're a nobody?!?
anyways, my weekend was good... Friday I skipped a couple classes to go shopping in London. And didn't really buy anything. Ok, so that's not entirely true. I bought lunch and either a christmas or birthday present for Chris. His birthday being at the end of January... so I got both birthday & Christmas taken care of within 2 days!! I was pretty pleased with myself.
then Friday night, as has become customary, I took Chris to his praise team practice...
I still haven't got my windshield wiper put back on. I was gonna do it last night, before church, but Chris didn't want me outside in the dark with no one else around.
Ummmmmm... Saturday... I slept in. Didn't do any homework. Watched a few movies. Erin came over... ummmm... yeah. just stuff.
Yesterday was great. I dragged Erin to Missionary with me... and I really enjoyed singing with her. I mean, everyone else was singing too, but I was doing some harmony, and she was carrying the melody so well... it was great!
I wrote a chem test this morning... which I was partially prepared for. Only I expected it to be so much worse than what it was. We shall see...

| So you have an exciting life... Congrats!
You never got back to me on my room colour. What do you think - lime green?

| I find it intriguing that I didn't mention this before... but then maybe I did and I just don't see it now...
About a month ago I had a nightmare about Grampaw dying. When I woke up I realized it was only a dream, but couldn't shake this sense of profound loss... It happened again not last night, the night before, and when I mentioned it to Chris when I was driving him home last night, he said that I probably had some issues to deal with. Talk about putting a damper on my enthusiasm. He's right, and we talked about it for awhile last night, and it's probably good that way because otherwise I'd have held on to this stuff for awhile longer, but it's hard.

| Ok, I'm realizing that in a little over a week, exams will be done. I need to study!! well, at least for math & chemistry... possibly a little bit for biology... ah well...
my math class ran away on me today. that is, I got up, got here on time for my 8 AM math class, and discovered that no one was in the room... so I wandered around the college for awhile in hopes of finding the class... or anyone FROM the class... and eventually I gave up. We're doing trig. I'm understanding it. It's ok.
Ummmm... what else? oh! if anyone can explain why my Gramma suddenly acts like she doesn't like me, feel free...
I got new sandals yesterday for the Christmas banquet on Saturday night. oh, and as far as that goes, I think I'm singing Silent Night as a duet with Chris... if Helen agrees to accompany me on short notice, I'll do Oh Holy Night, and if not, I'll come up with something else. No big deal... anyways, I'd got a new shirt a couple weeks ago ((on sale, of course)) and was hoping to find a pair of red sandals to go with... there was 1 pair of red sandals in Sears that I didn't like ((and that were much more expensive than what I was interested in)) anyhow, after visiting a couple other stores, we hit the Walmart yesterday & found a pair of pretty little sandals ((Erin calls them Cinderella slippers)) for $5!!! so yay!

| I was thinking of buying a wall. Did you see any for sale at Walmart?
Exams are just glorified tests that everyone freaks out about for some strange reasoning.. I had one this morning and did quite fine... maybe I should stop typing soon... Ah well.
Enjoy the weekend and grandparents are moody. Give them time and they'll get over it.
