Where to start... Racheal Lampa (I use to think she was a great singer and all but I went to one of her concerts and it honestly sounded like she was dying), Eminem, Brittney, along with all those other dying chicks on MTV, and Marc Anthony..(And we mustn't forget the wonderful bands such as Slipknot, korn, godsmack and all)...

BIG agreement on that one. I try to listen to their songs for the musical value but I can't get past his cruddy voice.

Heya,

I totally agree.. most everyone I know thinks the DMB is awesome, but his voice.. I just cant take it for more then 30 seconds.. then I turn the song off.

Btw.. I saw Rachel Lampa in concert not long ago, she sounded fine.. well, as fine as she ussually does (which in my opinion is not fine), pretty much sounded like she did on her alblums.

Scott Stapp (He sounds like he tries too hard to hide the fact that he tries too hard to sound like he does.), Dave Matthews, and Johnny Cash. The last two singing a duet are truely frighting.

Heya,

I totally agree that Johnny Cash and Dave Matthews singing a duet is terrible.. - I heard that song; it was probably the worst song I've ever heard.. - if anyone here wants a boost in self-esteem about their singing, listen to that - you'll be ready to believe you the greatest singer on earth when your done.

Heya,

I agree with you strangeperson11.. but for some reason I do like TrueVibe, not really sure why.. I guess I just like their lyrics and I also like the lead singer's voice a lot.. anyways, you may now make fun of me.

Oh. My favorite band is Lifehouse. Oh well, you can have your own opinion and everything, but not many ppl don't like his voice…I don't really like Dave Mathews' voice.
Well, I think that if you read the article on Lifehouse in the most recent issue of HM magazine, you’ll discover that it is a well-known fact that Lifehouse has a following of haters. It’s common knowledge that they are disliked, (particularly the part which is his voice…), by many.

And I personally really enjoy Dave Matthew’s voice. He doesn’t sound like any of the sound-alike singers… Creed, The Calling, Nickelback, Default, 12 Stones …Lifehouse. He sounds different and he’s easily identified. Personally, I am constantly getting those other bands mixed up with each other.

And all that I’ve said above is simply said in light-hearted disagreement. I know there are voices that I hate and others love, so it’s no biggie.

Avril Lavigne’s voice makes me angry simply because I think she’s full of “it” and she’s nothing but a publicity act. Her voice is just like what others were saying before—she’s just another pop star who screams.

And personally, of all the bands that sound so alike, I think it’s The Calling that gets to me the most. When that first single came out, I was first shocked as to how unoriginal the lyrics were. ie. “If I could, Then I would, I’ll go wherever you will go. Way up high, Or down low, I’ll go wherever you will go…” Sorry, I think there has been far better writing… Then I noticed how thick the guy laid it on his voice—dude, the guy doesn’t sound anything like that when he talks! Why would he sound that way when he sings? However, if any of you ever watch MTV, you may know the show “Music in High Places.” The Calling was featured someplace in Italy or Spain or something, and they did all this acoustic stuff. I was blown away by the whole thing. That guy’s voice is perfect for singing without a microphone. It’s like it amplifies itself! They should make an acoustic album, seriously! So, although his voice gets to me, I won’t deny the fact that I really liked listening to him when there were no electric guitars or microphones…

punk.

Wow, I seriously have a hard time imagining someone not liking his voice!

Really? That's interesting, because I know lots. I personally really like their new single "Spin." I thought it had a new edge to it that I didn't feel in their last album. More "bite", I guess... I intend to buy the album, but I know that there's a mass few that dislike the band just as much as someone might dislike the backstreet boys and the like...

punk.

My take on the new Lifehouse album is that although it doesn't have as many incredible songs as the first one (Hanging By A Moment, Everything), it has more great songs than the first one, if that makes sense.

Also, according to Jesusfreakhideout.com, Jason Wade is planning on doing a worship album, although probably under his own name. He's already written several songs for it.

That's something I would like to get if it's true!

All I'll say about this is, it's true. Due to come out next year, it's not just Wade though. The band name has something to do with one of the character's from The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. Visit theLifehouse forum for more.

Another of my least favorite vocalists is me.
