Sure I would like a Gibson or Taylor, but right now I think I would take any playable guitar that I could call my own.

I own my first dream guitar. My Gibson SG Supreme. Yeah, me an' my Gibby are getting along just great right now.

But my next dream is to move onward and upward in the acoustic world. Taylor. See, I'm smart, I don't just buy like 35 guitars until I find the one I like, I just buy really expensive and really nice guitars so that I don't have to buy anymore after that.

Dream Guitar

My dream guitar is definitly the Carvin AE185. This guitar is SO versatile! It has a Fishman-style bridge acoustic pickup and two screamin' humbuckers at the neck and bridge, all mounted on a neck-through chambered semi-acoustic body that should be in a display case. The neck is SO smooth and FAST. Mix the acoustic and electric pickups any way you like. My wife and kids bought me mine for my 50th birthday. It's GREAT to be loved.

I love the ole Ibanez 350dx, but I am planning on building my own with a similar to sg body, wizard 2 like neck, hardtail with some sweet electronics, and possibly an onboard effect or two. going to inlay it with semi precious stones I have. Hopefully with the chai rho alpha & omega in jasper or lapis on a black or natural body. Instead of mother of pearl I will use lapis. I have grover tuners for it. It will be the bomb.

I will have the action lowered as well. The totally great thing is... It should cost less than my other electrics sell for used. hence, I might be able to get it virtually as a trade.

Martin all the way. Taylors are too overpriced and sound terrible. Give me a Martin with a Spruce top, Mahogany back and sides, wide fretboard and oversized tonehole and I will put it's sound up against anything Taylor puts out anyday!!!

For acoustic, the Taylor 412ce. I love that guitar. For electric, I've fallen in love with the Rickenbacker 360 Mapleglo.
