| LOTR best actor K, who do you think portrayed their character best in LOTR? I think Elijah Wood did an AWESOME job as Frodo. Did you know the way he got picked to be Frodo is he sent in a video of himself with a bunch of friends playing Frodo and the other three hobbits. I thought that was cool. Plus Orlando Bloom did good too. He originally had tried out to be Farimir, but I'm glad he was Legolas. It totally fit him. And I don't care what you say, Liv Tyler did pretty good for her part. I liked Arwen. And she did a good job acting, no matter how sickly sweet she is in real life. The good acting on this movie really surprised me! :khair: But what's with Gimli standing on Balin's grave in Moria. In the books, he hacked the legs off an orc who climbed up on the grave. :kwhoa: I'm confused.

| It's been a while sence i read the books but i think the actors did a good job. I mean it's hard to live up to something like playing frodo, or the great Gandalf. I saw the dvd with a bunch of friend last week. Two of them kept hiding their eyes. it was sooo funny to see our 21 year old "shaperone" for the beach trip sitting on the floor next to her b/f(soon to be hubby) who was in a chair hiding her eyes! :klol:
And Leah was sitting next to me, every fight seen "it's it over YET???"
and if it was after Legolas apperd, it was "is it over?? is "the Hott" guy dead????" I could have told her he wasn't gonna but hey it was too much fun to see that look everytime he spoke.

| I'd say the best actor was Aragorn. He was exactly how i pictured him in the books. Plus he did all his own stunts and everything. Overall I think all the Actors did a good job though. Great movie.

| Yeah,
Aragorn did do awesome. Viggo Mortenson is great. He did awesome with his stunts, and I don't think one scene in that movie ever looked unrealistic, even with all the different creatures. I mean, you could tell the Balrog was fake, but he was so scary, the first time seeing it it didn't really matter. Also, Billy Boyd was a great Pippin. I love his accent! Go Billy!

| I thought that Ian McKellen (Gandalf, c'mon he got an oscar) was the best w/ Sean Bean (Boromir) coming in close second. Orlando Bloom and Viggo Mortensen had some incredible action!! I thought the acting was great. The screenwritters messed up on some of the characters though.

| Whaddya mean? I'm confused. How did the screenwriters mess up on some characters? I don't understand where you're comin' from. Sorry. Just curious what you meant by that. Yeah, Ian and Sean did pretty good. I'm sorry but I thought Sean A.(Sam) played a really good Sam. I mean, look at the commitment in that guy! Going with Frodo(who's also very brave and commited) to basically the end of the earth, where NO ONE dares set foot. Awesome. I love the way Tolkein portrayed all of them, especially Sam and Frodo, as being faithful to each other, and I'm glad PJ didn't take that away from the movie. I respect him for that.

| Some of the characters (such as Awren and Aragorn) are very different in the books than in the movie. Have you read the books?
(I think you mean Bag End, Hobbiton (in the West Farthing in case you were wondering ))

| Yeah, I know what I meant. I just haven't changed it yet. Sorry. Yeah, my bro read the books aloud to me and my sis'. I know Arwen didn't save Frodo in the books and lots of the characters were changed, but it was all they could do without having to add dozens of characters and perfecting every little detail so just one of the movies would be over 7 hours long! lol. that would've been funny. I think they did awesome bending it enough so it wasn't too much unlike the books, but still made the good points.

| Definitely Viggo Mortenson. His stunts and acting were great. I liked Pippin's accent, too!

| Ohh, that would make sense...hey, how come whenever I quote something with a smiley the smiley doesn't show up? It works when other people quote them...
