I am curious....

as to how many of you think it is wrong to play " I dare You to Move" by switchfoot in church? My band recently played that song and was banned from being played again due to the fact that it sounded too "wordly":ksad: How many of u would say this was a wrong move by the church?

Well, my band plays relient k and some pax217 (the non-cheesy songs) at church concerts; and we have not as of yet been banned or anything. my church has pretty heavy standards and stuff, too.

hey...i think that anything that glorifies God can and should be allowed in church!

yeah that's really narrow minded... if it works for you, if it glorifies christ then you have every right to play it in church and share it with your congregation

First of all, go to the elders or pastor or whoever forbid you to play, and show them the lyrics. If they won't look, show someone else who will talk to them about it. If no one will, unkept is right and your church is narrow-minded.

What kind of a church do you go to anyhow, that won't let you play switchfoot? Terrible, terrible....

Josh

Switchfoot is great.

Are you saying that your whole band was banned from playing anything ever again, or just the Switchfoot song was banned?

If you and your whole band were banned - dang, talk about overkill! And if that's the case - explain to me your church structure and who has the authority to make that decision please.
