| These next shots are from when we got to the top of the pass.
After reaching the top of the pass, we had to walk about another half a kilometre or more to where we could find a spot to pitch our tents. We managed to make camp just before the sun went down completely.

| Becky, the whole of the first day I was wearing shorts. So were most of the other guys.
Nix, I keep telling you, save up and come visit. Maybe you can come to Bloem next year.

And the last bit where we were hiking out of the sun, well there was deep snow all around and no where safe to stop and unpack some tracksuit pants. Besides, tracksuit pants get wet and soaked, so there is no real difference. The hardest bit was that my feet were so cold it took over an hour of being in my sub-zero sleeping bag for me to even get feeling in my feet.
The next morning all our boots were frozen solid (have you even tried to put on boots that are frozen? It's not easy)

| One more. I was going to get a picture of the bag full, but it didn't have a chance. Two hours alone in the car with me...The bag wasn't going to come home full.
