| Jared's Freestyle Compilation This is all the stuff I've written from the freestyle thread. If you don't visit the freestyle thread much, I suggest you do. Fun stuff. Works the brain, ya know!
SUPERMAN
Graven images of sympathetic motives
Sins of compassion can be incriminating
Implications that you have smitten your brethren
For the good of all mankind
...And bartered your purity
To contaminate the souls of the hardhearted
So when you release the virus
Just remember that superman is a coward
For a soul with no organic opponent
Has naught to fear.
The phobias that the proletariat must confine
...like an altruistic anthrax
Are of no concern to the impervious.
So don't pretend you are Superman
For his supremacy is his downfall
Instead, aspire to be susceptible
And leave the heroes to die
SYLLABLE
Listen up
Every syllable I speak swathes the sphere of solitude
Every remark about my life will stain your diary
So beware
And shield your ears if you have no tolerance
...for my enlightening alphabet
My secret is simply that I sound like a siren
When skies of glass have shattered
And I'm in control...
Scary...
On the ferris wheel of life I am the carny
Hand on the throttle
And possessed by a speed demon
So beware
And ride my cataclismic carousel at your own caution
ANTIPATHY
Don't listen to me
When I beg for a basis to kill you
Love is antipathy
Frictional coldness
Unneeded and impossible
Like tying your whispers to a string
Tying the string around my finger
So I could I always hear you scream my name
An aggravating pacifier
Can I suck my thumb and sleep through this
neo-natal tenderness
To prevent the wearing-off?
Keep drinking
To health, to happiness, to hell, to anything
Just to not be sober
STAGGER
Let me stagger across your highway
Your deer in the headlights
Reeling in the aftermath of peace
I can't move
I can only stare
And in this abyssmal radiance
The darkness is burned a different color
And I notice.
For tranquility has tainted my perspective
I forgot that I am colorblind
If I can see it, I can be shattered by it
And stumble back into your path
Your stag in the limelight
Reeling in the aftermath of peace
I can't remain
I can only move
And pray for a reason to stand here
MECCA
I dare you to mesmerize me
By not merging with the trend
Don't flock to the stigmatics
Hemorrhaging propaganda
For
MTV is your Mecca
And Madonna is your credo
Remember:
Pilgrimages to Times Square
Will only leave you dying for Springer Break
And journeys to Cancun'
Will leave you grasping for your Daley dose of Carson
PORCELAIN
Ceramic delusions
Chinaware trances
Terracotta nightmares
And porcelain reality
What a fragile romanticism
and brittle pragmatism we suffer
It's a séance of sorts
Calling up old porcelain demons
Friends and foes
Genuine and counterfeit
Summoning dragons and angels
By the midnight oil
Though the dying moonlight is all you need
Because the sun rose and fell
like a nosebleed
And dripped repose upon your agitation
So sleep well tonight
Be certain that the grapes of wrath are sour
And your sweetness is intact
For you are only a breath away
from kissing God
And you can't help but breathe
So let it out
And break the porcelain
And chisel your life in stone
GLASS
Shattered skies of refractory clouds
Kaleidoscope unraveled
On a canopy of twisted radiance
Afterglow distorted by a glassy thunderhead
To thaw the road less traveled
Roads of Spartan abstinence
PUSILLANIMOUS
Glass prisons and gravel floors
Are accommodations for the profane
Heated or chilled by
Seventeen degrees of timidity;
A temperature not for the strong of heart
Pusillanimously peruse Poseidon's manuscript
Find that you are
Spineless
Like the arteries of the ocean
Running dry of seagull's blood
RASH
Ventrolateral atrophy
Incapable of moving a muscle
This rash has crystallized your strength
...into gravelly discomfort
A schism between pain and love
Separation from every color of life you crave
This blasted rash has you pinned
CRAYONS
Span the supernatural spectrum
With shavings from your crayons
Shades that dye the world 3,000 miles deep
And leave your eyes groggy
As you kill the time by giving life to paper
Span the supernatural spectrum
With slivers of your pastels
And paint the universe the way you fancy
CARROT
Carrots:
A matter of the infinite expanse of the intellect
Shimmering like a diamond
2 carats glistening orange
The unbreakable and the edible silhouettes
Become
A grocery store harvest
Of costly rhombus mineral
To dangle in the face of the mule
To throw with pearls among the swine
To confuse the cosmos
To bury as treasure for all generations
Carrots:
A matter of the infinite expanse of the intellect
PROTEST
Slip into your eyes
And see the sun rise for a change
Creep into your heart
And feel the rhythm untangle me
By encountering you
We've distorted the untruth
Cursed our ugliness with beauty
Self destructed all our hate
Slip into my wounds and feel the sutures disappear
Steal into my lesions and taste the stitches tear away
I do protest these boundaries
These schismic barriers
Maybe if you could taste with my tongue
Respire with my lungs
Burn with my skin
Wail with my tears
Prod with my fingers
Splinter with my bones
Then we could destroy our discord
POLYNOMIAL
The sum of me and you and all our fears
Multiplied by our hesitation
Equals nothing more than a habitual love
Don't fear what is normal
This offspring is our polynomial
An exact replica of our infinite love
Our child is more than an expression
Be his omnipresent integer
And when our lives become complex fractions
Be my coefficient;
Complete me
And I will complete you
This algorithic child
is an answer to our problems, and answer to our prayers
A paradox of infinity:
We’re a family of all families that do not contain themselves-
But do we contain ourselves?
BREAD
I'll chew on your sympathy
Like a crust of brittle bread
at a beggar's banquet
And gorge myself on pity
While you waste away on happiness
The bare luxuries
And I'll chew on your condolences
And live the fulfilling life of malnutrition
ECHELON
Once again, I salute you
Once again, my dear Big Brother
We return through the somnolent eyes of our government
We return to the mantra of Manifest Destiny
We return to the expansion of borders
Once again, into the minds of our people
Once again, we forsake our Dear Mother
We return to the war of the psyche
We return to the the Battle Hymn of Democracy
We return to the promise of rebirth
Once again, I salute you
Once again, all knowing Echelon
SCALAWAG
Scalawag, you shame us carpetbaggers
You desert us deserters
Abandon us absconders
FOrsake your homeland for a profit
In the land of the slaves, home of the cowards
Rabble-rouser, firebrand, menace to the troublemakers
I curse your infidelity to the disaffiliates
ALLOY
Alloy
A mixture of 2 metals
Copper: you’re a mutt
Like the camouflaged priests
Who unwittingly wear their souls on their faces
Saints whose dirty words come out clean
Copper: a unique blend
But nonetheless worthless and brittle
Alloy
A fusion of two contrary worlds

| Oooh... Aaah, compilation! I'm not really active enough to post a compilation thread.... but methinks I will anyways.
I like you writings... sometimes it can be hard to come up with a poem for some of the insane words others pick. |

Better than Jeffbo? Methinks not. Who is the one with their poetry scattered all across people's signatures, scrolling marquees, polls of favorite lines, etc.? That would be you Jeffbo.
It means alot to me though that you think I'm good! You're my hero!!! Quote: Originally posted by clean

| Here's some more freestyles.
CRAMP
Cramps spill into my collective unconscious
And constant painful stimulus numbs my desire to die
This pain drives me to yearn for healing
I'd drown in blood to see my vibrant bleeding
To know that I'm alive
This balm I find in you
I unearth Heaven
Solace in your veins
I discover Nirvana
I'd suffocate to hear your cyclic breathing
To know that you're alive
Calm rips into my unconscious collective
And constant throbbing stimulus is anesthetized
I realize your pain is my peace
FESTER
Bittersweet act of worship,
Between blessing and blasphemy:
I let my blemished love fester
Blister in Hyperion
Between gods and gadflies
I let my grisly love aggravate
Graft into apathy
Between Vishnu and Vagisil
Between blessing and blasphemy
Between altars and outhouses
Between gods and gadflies
Fester
Spoil
Rot
My love.
BROTHER
Dissolve the common genes between us
I deny that I ever knew you
A brother or an alien, you call the shots
I hack away at this filial thread that unites us
And find it sturdier than chains
When I prayed "Bind us with cords unbreakable"
I was only joking
And now I am pleading:
"Tear us apart at the stitches,
Drain this suffocating amniotic fluid we share,
Allow me to call you an enemy
So that we can make some amends."
DECEPTION
I'm begging you to deceive me
Tell with your mouth shut
and my ears not listening
...we will simulate communication
Pretend the sky is our foundation
and carnality our catechism
Deception can compose our Statements of Faith
and criminals can be our priests
So allow the air to liquefy into lies,
trickle down into your shirt and into your heart
And let it spill out onto innocent bystanders
Usher in the gospel of fraud
I implore you to deceive me
Kill me with your hands tied
and my guns blazing
...we will simulate existence

| JOHN DAWES IN LOVE
What an exotic privilege
To witness such mythic beauty!
To taste the words on your tongue,
To savor what you would have said
Would have made it all worthwhile.
What a divine experience
to photograph the imaginary!
To capture what could have been seen,
To drag what I wanted to view into memeory
Would have made it worth developing.
What an ignominious display
To go completely unnoticed!
To record your voice rambling mantras,
To imagine you were chanting my name
Would have made my time worth wasting.
What a mythological truth
To witness such hopeless beauty!
To swallow the fire in your throat,
To cruficy your vanity
Would have made me seem worthwhile.
What a pitiful excuse for attention,
To be graced by your mythic beauty!
To capture your passing fragrance,
To almost kiss a goddess
Would have made my time worthwhile.
VEDAS
Domesticity has spilled into your eyes
Earthly vision cages your mind
You look for me in your bed
In your house
But I’m higher on the food chain
Natural selection forsook you
Look for yourself in Pathetic, USA
Not two inches from your heart
Do you still look for me?
In your bed, in your world?
Look for me in the Vedas
And I’ll never notice you
