Our Lady Peace (merged)

I was driving back from somewhere the other day and didn't have any cds in the car ( ) so I was listening to the radio. They played two songs by the same band in a row (they call it two for Tuesday and they do that all day) and I recognized them, like I had heard them before but didn't know who it was. One kept repeating "Superman's dead" so I looked it up and came up with Our Lady Peace. I downloaded a bunch of their stuff and love it all. This band is seriously awesome.
"Clumsy" was the other one I heard btw

What do you think of them? If you haven't heard stuff from them- get to downloading!

Yes, OLP Rawks! I haven't heard the latest album because I try to stick with Christian stuff now, but if you haven't got them already you should most definitely get the "Clumsy" album and "Happiness...Is Not A Fish That You Can Catch" as well....awesome stuff there...

My recommendations?

From Clumsy: "Superman's Dead", "Big Dumb Rocket", "4am", "Clumsy"

"If I don't make it known that, I've loved you all along, just like sunny days that, we ignore because, we're all dumb and jaded... And I hope to God I figure out what's wrooong..." -"4am" Possibly my favorite from this album... Along with the radio hits.

From "Happiness...": "One Man Army", "Potato Girl" (woo!), "Blister", "Is Anybody Home" (WOOHOO!), "Thief" (GREAT song...great story behind it, too)

I'm not sure who produced it, but "Happiness..." is mixed AWESOME... I could sit in my car and listen to it all day. The drums on the disc sound like they're right there next to you they sound so real. If you haven't seen their videos I'd suggest them as well... I know they used to get a lot of rotation on MuchMusic for the Canadians and those with satellites. The video for "Is Anybody Home?" is spectacular...one of the best I've seen concept wise if you ask me. "Thief" has a very simple, yet moving video as well. So those are my picks from each of those two albums...I'd highly recommend both.

Hey...hate to change the subject but what about the Barenaked Ladies??

Okay...back to the proper subject...I LOVE Old Lady Peace. Superman's Dead, Thief, Clumsy have all been mentioned. I just heard the new single on the radio yesterday, and they haven't lost anything...IT ROCKS!!

OLP did lose their guitarist. But the name of the new guy escapes me right now. The old dude recorded with them then quit during the process. But the recording was already done, and all they had to do was mix and master it then press it. So before they did so, they found a new guitarist.
