True Vibe's See The Light Backed By Extensive Marketing Campaign

(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) July 19, 2002-Pop foursome True Vibe's sophomore label project, See The Light, launches August 20th. In support of its release, Essential Records and True Vibe will embark on a major marketing campaign, including live tours, multi-media and radio exposure as well as a nationwide retail promotion.

To introduce fans to See The Light, True Vibe takes to the road this summer on a 15-city Summer JAM tour hosted by Reunion Records artist NewSong and featuring guest performers Brother's Keeper, Freddie Colloca, Rachael Lampa and TAIT. The tour, known for its ability to draw large crowds, kicks off July 24th in Virginia and will visit Atlanta, GA, Tampa, FL, Louisville, KY, and Memphis, TN among other cities. In addition to the Summer JAM tour and festival appearances, True Vibe will team up with fellow pop artists on a large-scale tour this fall (details pending). All True Vibe summer appearances will be supported by extensive grassroots promotional efforts including street date focused coupon flyers. More than 100,000 coupon flyers will be handed out nationwide before street date by Essential Records street team representatives.

While True Vibe is busy premiering the music of See The Light live across the country, the record's title cut and debut radio single will be vying for airtime on both Adult Contemporary and Christian Hits Radio formats. "See The Light" released to radio stations June 21st and this week advanced to No. 27 on R&R's AC chart, with the week's largest spin increase. Simultaneously, Essential Records will begin aggressive pitching to Internet, print and television media outlets.

"See The Light is an outstanding record," commented Essential Records' senior director of marketing Nina Williams. "We have a high belief level in True Vibe as well as in the personal and artistic direction of this album. Our team is dedicated to the success of See The Light, and our multi-faceted marketing approach reflects that commitment."

On the retail front, Essential Records plans to secure catalog advertising in fall and Christmas pieces for all major chains and regional stores, while See The Light will be a main focus of Provident Viewscan and In-Store Play Loops beginning in August. Additionally, the title will be featured on Provident Music Distribution's "Above The Groove" promotion alongside other popular Provident Music Group artists beginning in August and running through December. Merchandising opportunities include a deluxe endcap kit with banner boards, shelftalkers, flats and counter headers plus vinyl banners.

True Vibe's self-titled recording was the year's highest-selling debut when it released in May 2001 and sparked the multi-format No. 1 and international hit song "Now and Forever." True Vibe later added to its radio success the No.1 single "Sweet Jesus" and two Top 5 songs "Jump, Jump, Jump" and "You Are The Way." In addition to appearances on the Radio Disney Live! World Tour 2001 and The CoverGirl Model Experience Contest, True Vibe performed the national anthem at ABC's Monday Night Football and other NFL, NBA and major league baseball events. Furthermore, True Vibe was featured on the soundtrack album for the 2001 Paramount Pictures/Nickelodeon Movies animated feature film, "Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius" and the title cut to the 2001 Miramax motion picture "On the Line" with *NSYNC's Lance Bass and Joey Fatone. Essential Records, and its affiliated label, Watershed Records, is distributed through Provident Music Distribution and through partnerships with parent company Zomba Music.
