The best translation is your first mentioned, as per the research I've done on the lyrics.
Interestingly enough, they performed a song in xXx, which has rekindled my enjoyment of their unique style. Fun movie, good summer closer if you ask me.

yeah actually i just wanted a post...lol
those really don't make sense unless you've heard them.
the vowels are always funny cause their "e" is said like our "a", and their "i" is said like our "e" so when you're in german class spelling or something, it gets really funny sometimes cause you're like, ehh. and someone will be like, is that german or english. have to be there. yeah. another post for georgeo. yaay me. |

| How do you get the "ess-zet", that 'b' looking double 's'
on your keyboard? I have been needing also umlauted
vowels ( a, o and u. ) so i don't have to keep putting
an 'e' after it ( Loewenbraeu looks stupid. So does
'moechte' )

| I thought it was 'hast' and 'hasst' as a play on words...and it annoys me terribly when strictly English speaking people (mainly Americans that I've seen) think it can only be one or the other, usually the latter.
On a side note, I have to agree with the person above me, not knowing how to do umlauts can be frustrating.

| I'm not too educated in German I know hast *however you spell it * means hate but as far as Rammstien goes - yea they're definately not Christian lol or very American friendly either, but there music has a good beat at the same time. |

You

you have me
you have asked me
you have asked me and I have said nothing
Do you want, until death seperates you,
to be faithful to her for all days
No
Do you want, until death, which would seperate,
to love her, even in bad days
No
Enjoy the ironic double meaning! |

It's time for it to die.
