amped suggestionzzzzzz

hey im looking to by an amp,pretty sooon,and i wanted to know what u thought would be good. right now all i have is a little practice amp from yamaha,and its getting old.i play 4 worship services mainly,and a little rock too. im not in a band,yet,but some of my friends and i r thinking about it as soonas we get all teh equipment(whenever dat is) anywho,i just wanted some suggestions. thanx!

oo yess,i have a pretty tight budjet too.

well are you going to play hard rock and need lots of distortion or are you going to want more of a clean tone?

and how big of room do you want to play for... or how powerful of an amp do you want?

for clean sounds look at fenders. for distortion marshall would be a pretty safe bet.

oh and tight budget... could you put a price on that? cause tight to one person it lots to another.

ok,im not in a band YET,although me and some of my friends are trying to get one going,mostly, though i play praise and worship,and i already have a distortion pedal. by tight budget,i mean like REAL tight. like under 200.4 now i will probabally be playing only 4 Chruch gatherings,untill we get a band going. but i dont need like a stack or anything.im looking at a used crate amp but i dont know if i want it or not.

What type of guitar do you play? How are the pickups arranged in that guitar.....as far as single coil and humbuckers go? How much "oomph" are you looking for? And how much $$$ are we talking about???

i have a peavey raptor plus,with 3 single coil pickups
and under $200 is what i can pay right now.

what area a few of the specs? like watts, # of channels, any effects on it, price tag, etc...

hey,we ended up getting the amp today,it is a Crate G40XL with 2 speakers,200watts,built in distortion-chorus-and reverb,and 2 chanels,for $138.00 i think i got a good deal.well,thanx

dang man 200 watts u sure? maybe its 20 or 40 but yeah man congrats that is a good deal

yeah if that's 200 watts it's a steal for you. but i doubt that. it's probably closer to 40 watts but either way that sounds like a deal.

hope it does what you need it to do.
