Thumbs up

Waterdeep is awesome! I bought "Sink or Swim" after seeing them in concert around Tulsa a few times, and then didn't pay much attention to them for a few years. Just over the last 6 months or so, I have gotten into them so much. Don and Lori Chaffer are amazing lyricists and songwriters! You can see God so clearly in their ministry.

I highly recommend "Sink or Swim", "Everyone's Beautiful", and "Enter the Worship Circle" (Waterdeep w/ 100 Portraits). Even if you don't normally like their style of music, give it a chance and I'm 99% sure it'll grow on you!

I love Waterdeep. They are one of my favorite bands. Have you heard their "Old Stuff" CD? I'm wondering if that one is good. And what about Don's solo album? I think my favorite album of theirs is "To Chase Away the Birds". It's got such a cool range of sounds in it!

FINALLY!! Someone else who knows how incredible WD is on this board! Oh, this makes me so happy! hehe.

Yes, Old Stuff is great! I haven't heard "You were at the time for love", but a friend is getting ready to send me a copy because that's her favorite one (even though it's just Don and not actually Waterdeep). They are hands down my favorite band now.

I don't know if they are my favorite band, but they are definately up there! I love their music. They are REALLY talented musicians and even more talented song writers. I cite them as a major influence in my personal song writing and guitar playing. I think I'm going to pick up the old stuff CD and order Don's solo one too. I can't get enough of their lyrics!!! They are awesome! The first time I heard the song "And" I was speechless. That's my favorite song they do. What's yours?

"And" is definitely one of my favorites! My list of favorites includes: And, He will come, Walls and Tall Shadows, Hush, Galeana, You Are So Good to Me, and 18 Bullet Holes...

I haven't heard all of their stuff yet, but I'm getting there. I'm so broke, but I want all of the older stuff so bad! Eventually I'll get the old stuff, and Don's solo album. They really are amazing songwriters. Even if I don't like the sound of one of their songs, the lyrics almost always blow me away or touch me in some way.

It's cool to finally see someone on here that likes them, too

Do you play any of their songs on the guitar? I've been downloading their tabs over the last couple of months and trying to learn them. I played "And" in church last month and that was really cool. Lots of their songs are fairly simple to play and yet they sound really cool! That's always a nice combination.

I heard last week that their new album is coming out May 1st. I really can't wait to hear it! I think it'll be really good!

I can play some of their stuff. I'm not a fantastic guitar player, but I love to play anyway I'm working on Psalm 18, but my fingers don't want to work with me...

They're actually shooting for the end of April to get the CD out now!! They've been working their rears off to get it all mixed and finish things up, and I know it's going to be so amazing. The CD cover artwork is incredible! Ah, I can't wait to get the CD!

Have you ever heard 100 Portraits by themselves? They are pretty awesome. I have both of their albums and they are really talented. It's just the two of them, but the albums are just very complicated musically. If you haven't heard them you should really check them out.
