Why on earth does a band, after only two albums, release a "Best of" CD?

Makes no sense to me.

And don't get me started on bands releasing remix CD's early on in their career...

Actually, I believe the reason they released a "Best of" album so early was that they were not sure if they would be together any longer. They also moved to a new record label when they decided to continue.
