i beg to differ with jon here....i have been listening to Living Sacrifice,Jason Truby's old band for those who dont know, for years; correct me if i am wrong, but i dont recall any instrumentals truby did with them. personally i think marcos and truby are both fantastic players, but i dont think marcos always played to his own potential. listen to some of the solos on the live album; they are much better than anything marcos played after they rose from the underground.
on another subject, i think truby's playing went downhill on Payable on Death. he was a much more technical player when in Living Sacrifice. now it's all straightforward, radio-friendly stuff. almost sad.

This is a great CD, i am not a fan of every single song on it, but i like the majority of them. POD is a great band who is sharing the love of the Christ with the secular world, which i think is amazing. Awesome band, awesome CD.

Ya, i know....this was a long time ago....any way.....before marcos was ejected, they were slipping.....he has gone completely secular....have you heard about his new band.....the accident experiment......wow.....very secular...but truby has helped bring them back....but they wanted to anyway....that's why they kicked marcos out....less agressive style....more positivity...but i'm not too concerned that they'll go softer....truby came from living sacrifice....and in case you don't know....(heaven forbid)....living sacrifice is/was death metal...

It's not all that amazing. I give her a five. Mainly beacuse of the idol worship. And also because I skipped a bunch of songs whenever I would listen to it.

The "other thread" is not the main reason of my "hate" for this album. The fact that the lyrics are mediocre (if that much) and the music isn't that great either. It's fun to listen to sometimes, but other than that, it sucks.

As for the idol worship........Read the "other thread".
