Talking This cd gets a.. 10!

This cd is very good. Although I would like to say that The Elms have progressed in their talent since releasing that cd. Their new cd Truth, Soul, Rock & Roll blows me away.

My favorite song from this cd is:
The Big Surprise

And Thanks to Thom, I finally got to hear them play that song live. Thanks Buddy.

If you don't have this cd, well.. you should! *L* Go out and get a copy ASAP.

** Notes from Thom.....The meaning of "The Big Surprise"! "You ever feel like you give and give and give and give to people, your family, your church, your school, your whatever, but it goes unappreciated? No matter how much you're willing to invest in some people, it seems like they just don't care sometimes. However, just like The Bible says, God sees all that we do in secret, and He honors it, and will reward us openly for the things we do in secret. Know what I mean? The Big Surprise is YOU. It wasn't all of the things that you did in order to try and win somebody's attention or affection. The real gift that you were giving them was yourself." ** Source: The Elms Online

And that my friend, is why I love The Elms. Owen has great talent in writing lyrics, and playing the guitar. Thom shows his guitar who's the boss, Keith ( ) rocks his bass, and Chris.. he gives those poor drums a beating!

I love The Elms b/c what other band would start off their set w/ "My Generation"? I was lucky enough to meet Owen and Thom this past Atlanta Fest. It was great to see them as just two talented
people who love the Lord with all their heart, soul, and mind, and that's what it's all about.

This is a pretty good album...I love how they use the orchestration...kinda like a flashback to Electric Light Orchestra except more poppy.

Big Surprise is an incredible song. The strings really make it powerful.
