PC3'S "Turn" Captures No. 1 A Second Week; Debut Amassing Rave Reviews

(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) May 30, 2002- Four short months after relocating to the U.S. and only one week since the release of New Map Of The World, the Paul Colman Trio plows ahead with a No. 1 Christian Hits Radio single for the second consecutive week and a highly acclaimed label debut.

A mere 8 weeks following its release, "Turn," the debut radio single from pc3's first label project, New Map Of The World, claimed the No. 1 position on Radio & Records' Christian Hits Radio chart. The hit song garners the top spot again this week, with no signs of letting up.

Essential Records' manager of radio promotions Michael Johnson commented, "This is the first single from a debut artist in 2002 to claim the No. 1 spot on R&R's CHR chart. Even more amazing is how quickly the song rose to the top. On average, this year's top singles spent 11 weeks on the chart before claiming No. 1. The Paul Colman Trio's 'Turn' made it in 8 weeks. We are truly proud!"

In addition to a warm reception from radio, pc3 is faring favorably with print media, as the positive feedback pours in.

"New Map of the World is another smash-laden production from the amazing Monroe Jones. ... An auspicious debut for these Aussie mates."

--CCM Magazine

"Thousands of 3D fans got a preview of these Aussie imports'
U.S. debut this spring. Judging by the reaction from two personable performances, they liked what they heard."

--The Dallas Morning News

"The album's lead track 'Turn' has hit written all over it.
It's an excellent modern-rock song that challenges non-Christians to seek Jesus and encourages Christians to make an impact beyond their secluded Christian subculture. Bold and challenging lyrical content such as this appears in many of the songs on New Map of the World."

--ChristianityToday.com

"New Map of the World is fresh and current, and the album's
12 outstanding songs challenge listeners with relevant messages throughout."

--CBA Marketplace

In support of the record, pc3 will continue to tour this summer, appearing at every major festival including main stage appearances at Creation East, Atlanta Fest and Inside Out Soul Festival. The group will also join up with Third Day again this fall for an additional leg of the "Come Together" tour.

Formed in 1998 in Melbourne, Australia, the Paul Colman Trio, affectionately referred to as pc3, is Paul Colman (lead singer/songwriter/guitarist), Grant Norsworthy (bass/vocals) and Phil Gaudion (drums/percussion/vocals). Having released four independent albums, titled Serious Fun, Turn, pc3 Live Electric and pc3 Live Acoustic, the group is known for its unparalleled live shows and has been selling out venues for the past four years. They have toured extensively in Australia and the U.S., performing alongside such well-known contemporary Christian artists as Third Day, P.O.D, Jennifer Knapp and Newsboys.
