| Cooking There have lately been a few people that have wanted to clarify that food/drink forum also includes cooking. I just want to make sure everyone knows that THIS is the place to post cooking tips, questions and other such topics.
Thanks,
Moderator Mark

| I LOVE cooking/baking! Sometimes (especially during Christmas season) I'm in the kitchen all day.
I want your Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe too. So far, I've only been able to find one, a C-c- peanut butter one that I really like.
I cook for a group of kids (usually it's about 7-10 but lately it's been 35) at our church each week, so I get to try out new stuff there. And I tell you, the Secratary and Pastors don't mind that at all!
I found an awesome brownie recipe it anyone wants it. . .just let me know and I'll post it.

| I like cooking, I tend to make quite a bit of Cajun food. I don't like to clean up afterwards though.

| Well, my chocolate chip cookie resipy isn't that exiting. There just average chocolate chip cookies. I don't necisarally make them cookie quality (though others think so), I make them for there dough.
1 stick of butter
1/2 cup butter flavored crisco (or regular crisco and add butter flavoring)
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 cup brown sugar (you can also do all regular sugar or all brown sugar depending on how you like it.. all sugar is practicly a sugar cookie though)
1 large egg (or extra large.. depending on how much egg-batter you might need to add a table spoon or two of water)
1 teaspoon venella
2 1/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon paking soda (NOT pouder... bad mistake that would be)
1/2 teaspoon salt.
Add to that alot of love, as much chocolate chips as you desire, and tasting it before you bake it.
This last thing is the most importaint. you must tast it... it just wouldn't come out right if you didn't
Remember to cream the butter and sugar first. Don't cream to much.. that adds to much air. then add the egg and venella.
When that is mixed in, add flour, salt, and baking soda. Mix till mix in (add water if it is too dry), then add chocolate chips. Set the timer for 9 minutes. You don't want to over cook them (unless you like them like that), might take up to 12 (usually 10). Then eat them... and enjoy every bite.
Any questions? If you have any questions about the ingredeants and how they effect each other, or anything, ask, (if I don't know something I'll learn it :ksmile: )

I specialize in baking stuff. Mostly cooking... or spagetti sauce... or meats... Then there's the typical, boiling vegetables or whatever...
