Thumbs up Sevendust

I don't think there has been a Sevendust thread before...

I just bought their latest (although it certainly would not be considered new by now) album Animosity and I was rather shocked. I really like just about every song on this album and was rather impressed with how good it is. You have probably heard songs from some of their other albums, some of the more known songs include: "Black", "B****", "Denial", "Waffle", and "Licking Cream." "Praise" and "Crucified" have been singles from this album so far, but just about every song on it is just as good as these two (some are better).
Basically, if you like anything Sevendust has done, or even if you have never heard anything by them and enjoy good heavy stuff, I reccomend going out and getting this album.

Awesome, thanks for the reccommendation, I will definitely check them out. I was only familiar with "Denial" (which is oh so rocking), but I will check out "Animosity."

I think it is pretty ok, but IMO most songs on the album are better.

Btw, I have seen Sevendust live twice

Interesting tidbit: I was just reading the liner and 3 of the 5 members thanked "God" and the lead singer thanked "Jesus Christ." So they are probably at least professed Christians.

I think that thanking Jesus Christ would just about qualify.

A lot of people have thanked God and Jesus Christ before, and not been Christian. Also, other religions believe Jesus Christ to be a holy man, or whatever, as I'm sure you know.

OK, WHAT is everyone's problem? First of all I said "they are probably at least professed Christians." I did not say that thanking Jesus was a profession of Christ, I merely stated that someone who thanked Jesus Christ was PROBABLY a professed Christian.

Why in the world would someone thank a "holy man" who died two thousand years ago if they just thought he was a good person? That is just stupid. I think that the odds are in favor of someone thanking Christ being a professed Christian.

Thanks to Travis, I realized I cut Sevendust short.

I had listened to half their CD and just passed them off as "okay."

But I went out and listened ot the whole CD, and actually found them quite good.

We'll see if I buy their CD or not, cause I still wanna get the Moby CD ...
