New Sevendust tomorrow!!

New Sevendust cd comes out tomorrow. it's gonna be good. i've heard one song from it, and it sounds like their last album. we don't have a rock station in my town, so i'm not sure if they get much airtime, but i think they should. great singer, drummer's got some quick feet and the guitar/bass boys can pound it.

Ill probably listen to it at the music store before i buy it. The last album had alot of songs with the same formula and it got kinda repetitive.

I didn't care a whole lot for their last CD. I'll have to wait and hear it.

What kind of music is what? Their new CD? The band Sevendust?

I have not heard the new CD, but Sevendust is one of the more intersting "nu-metal" bands. Their singer is very soulful.

"X-mas Day" from their "Animosity" cd is a really really good song.

Anyone still into 7D (Sevendust)? They released the first single "Thank You" from their upcoming album "Kill the Flaw" due out later this year.

If you haven't heard of them I highly recommend their last album, the acoustic-centric "Time Travelers & Bonfires", some of the best stuff they put out in a while (even if not "heavy" like their typical stuff). If you have heard of them I'd say the new single kind of brings to fruition the more melodic direction they've been heading as of late, both vocally and instrument-wise.

Sevendust is a kinda different and interesting band. I used to listen to them. The latest album from them i've seen is Black Out The Sun, but that was like 3-4 years ago. Most of their stuff is hard and explicit, but not all of their is that. But, they're not as bad as heavy bands i've heard of.

*ahem* and this thread is more than 10 years old, just to tell ya *ahem*

Right, but I thought it better to revive it than be that one guy who always starts threads without ever looking to see if one exists.

Hmm, that's actually very "helpful". I've never thought about that before .

As far as being explicit, they still drop a word here or there but their lyrics have actually been reflecting their faith a lot more as of late. Part of that's due to the loss of family and friends they've each gone through over the years but a lot of it is probably due to personal growth and having kids. I know Clint Lowery's been pretty vocal about thanking God for all the good things in his life.

One song I really like from Time Travelers & Bonfires is "The Wait". Started with John writing something to express the loss of his father and they all ended up working through the music together, really is a beautiful song.
