Well, I've listened to T-Bone. The only reason I liked his songs is because he sounds like Snoop Dog, and I used to listen to snoop a lot. I'm not into rap anymore (thank G-d). What I didn't like about tbone is that he talks about drugs, money, and sex A LOT. He keeps saying "i used to do this" "I used to do that" as if he misses it and wants to go back. He seems to still be a baby Christian, although he is getting a tainted form of The Word out on the street. As long as the lost listen to it, they may get saved, then hopefully they will attend church and read the Bible to get the real/whole truth.

They say to write what you know... sounds like that is what he is doing.

on the bright side, I used to listen to T Bone back in the day when my parents wouldn't let me listen to secular rap (i was but a wee one) and i totally think that his heart is in the right place. i thikn he is good for christians AND for outreach to non christians.

... but christian rap is still lame

ha, ! I don't know what christian rap your listening too...probally that silly old sckool Grape Tree and TobyMac stuff.....Naw, some of the best heads are in Christian...particulary the Christian Underground stuff...not that gotee records stuff (even though the new grits has some tight beats and flows) check out LA Symphony, Mars ILL, Tunnel Rats, for some mad flows and production skill --- www.spherofhiphop.com is a good place to check out a lot of good (and i mean good) hip hop artist...

as for TBONE.. his stuff is biblical and it is great for christians...as a matter of fact he and Carmen used to work together before he went solo...shoot...TBONE goes way back...his latest CD "Last Street Preacha" is one of the most recent one's he's done, besides the greatest hits album he put out a few months afterwards...so don't hate, congragulate :-)

One...

Just stumbled upon this thread...

I'm not a big rap fan, but I do enjoy good hip hop... KJ52, John Reuben, LA Symphony...

As for TBone... he's a very talented man, who needs to get a clue. I am pretty sure that he's never jacked a demon with .38. His flows are full of arrogance... Anyhow, that's my opinion.

T-Bone is... different to say the least. He's not exactly my favorite, but i have nothing against him. His lyrics aren't all biblical, but i don't find them anti-biblical either.

amen to that eh! I used to go to Sphere all of the time, there are some SWEET rappers hooked up there. sev statik's the man, and I like Mars Ill too. there was another one too.... oh ya Labklik. they're sweet! except for their poor recording. DJ Maj is good too, but as far as the 'mainstream' Christian rap, it's mostly pretty poor. the underground is where it's at
