Thumbs up

I really liked this album. I was kind of afraid that all the songs on this album would sound like "I surrender" on hungry, which was my least favorite song on that album, but as soon as the first track started playing, I knew I was totally wrong. I've only listened to this cd twice, and can't say I like this better than hungry yet. Hungry had 14 songs, and this album has 12 songs including a hidden song. I also miss the cheering crowd in the background. Hungry had killer songs like 'hungry', 'Your name is holy', and 'breathe', but I can't seem to find the same kind of songs on this album, at least not yet. What do you guys think of this album?

Now that I'm growing on this cd, I'm liking it more and more. But I will reserve my vote until I'm sure which one I like more. One thing really cool about this cd is that the chords and lyrics for every song is stored in the cd. But that gives you one less reason to come to this site, so maybe it's not a good thing?

Hrm, the Surrender CD by Vineyard UK is alright. I enjoyed WoW#12 and Hungry a lot more though. One really good song that came off of Surrender is the 1st song on the cd, "Hallelujah (Your Love is Amazing)". I simply love that song! Some other semi-useable ones are "Surrender", "When You Call My Name", and the old school "You are My King". Oh, and the neat rendition of the WoW#12 song "All Who Are Thirsty" is great!! It sounds different, but the same (if you didn't notice, it changed from a 6/8 beat song to a 4/4 beat song).

I'm honestly really looking forward to Vineyard UK's next release, it seems to be really awesome! Let me see if I can find the specs on it for you. http://www.sparrowrecords.com/artist...ography/latest is the list for the cd, but I'll post it here too, because it looks great!! BTW, the cd is called "i love your presence" and it was recorded in london last year (2000).

1:
I Lift My Eyes

2:
Your Love Is Amazing
(Hallelujah)

3:
Pour Out My Heart

4:
Father Of Lights

5:
All To Jesus

6:
Holy Fire

7:
Who Is This

8:
All Who Are Thirsty

9:
Surrender

10:
Blessed Be The Name

11:
When I Survey

12:
I Love Your Presence

Hungry vs. Surrender

I personally think that Hungry's sound is more worshipful, and more motivating, if you know what i mean, but thats just my opinion.

re: Hungry vs Surrender

Well of course "Hungry" would seem more so that way, since all the songs were recorded live at a conference, as opposed to "Surrender" where it was mainly a studio recording (Vineyard UK's first actually). They did a good job on both albums, but I think I just like the songs a lot better on "Hungry" and WoW#12.

I liked surrender, but it sounds a little too country for me.
