ProCo Rat distortion or A EHX Big Muff.
A Boss Metal Zone would even do the trick, I guess Punk is more of a feel, eh?

Any sort of mid-gain distortion pedal. However, most punk guitarists would use amp effects versus pedals (high overdrive tone with a marshall/mesa stack)

right now i just have a peavy rage. I don't play live with it though of course. I'm need a bigger amp! but as far as a good pedal for punk, I really like the Metal zone. It has incredible range. it should be called the Distortion Zone, it's not just for metalheads. but go play one before you spend $90 on it.

i don't think punk guitarists drop to d though? i don't know, i don't play punk. peace iz-out
