Hindsight is 5/21

Nashville, TN….5/17/02…On the verge of releasing his sophomore project Hindsight, Gotee hip-hopper John Reuben is making some great waves, with rave reviews coming in from print, internet sites, and fans alike!

Reuben will launch the CD at the Virgin Megastore in Columbus, Ohio’s Easton Town Center on Tuesday May 21st at 7pm EST. Sponsored by Radio U, the live concert/CD signing will be followed by a quick live chat at 9:45 pm EST with www.Crosswalk.com. In addition, free iron-on transfers will be given out to the first 100 fans to purchase Hindsight, and one lucky fan will receive a camcorder from Radio U. A pre-event dinner for Radio U contest winners will also be held at Gameworks.

Here’s just a taste of what people are saying about Hindsight:

“Reuben charismatically attacks the mic with convincing old-school style…Constants throughout the opus are strong hooks and delectable choruses that Reuben manages to surround with apt verses…Reuben attacks with personal bravado and confidence...
-CCM magazine – giving the album an “A”

“This is about as fun as Christian music gets...fresh, funky hip-hop with bright tongue-in-cheek rhymes. Add a little bit of invention and this CD stands out in an otherwise all-too-familiar musical landscape. John Reu' is joined by a small crew of like-minded rappers and together they take an urban beat to "sub"-urban environments. I'm pretty sure this one is gonna spend much of the summer in the changer.”
---Musicforce.com (Staff Pick, Bill Marcus)

"Every generation needs a "Steve Taylor" to push the
musical envelope both musically and lyrically. John Reu is that man for this
generation."
- Jimmy - from Mobile, AL on Musicforce.com
-Product Rating: 5 out of 5

“Easily our favorite album this year!”
-Jeff – The Noize – web music magazine

“…the wait is over and it was worth every second of the wait…a tremendously creative record. John has evolved into one of the premier lyricists in modern music. His lyrics are pointed yet he manages to keep it lighthearted enough that you realize he doesn't take himself too seriously. We could definitely use some more of that around.….this record will put John Reuben on top in a hurry.”
-Album Grade – A
-www.1340mag.com

John Reuben debuted on the scene in 2000 in unprecedented fashion. His hip hop offering, ARE WE THERE YET?, has Sound Scanned well over 53,000 units, marking the strongest CBA debut ever by a soloist in his genre.

With his HINDSIGHT follow-up, Reuben's artistic vision is focused and compelling as he delves into themes such as accountability, humility and redemption. HINDSIGHT is a vulnerable celebration--playfullyspirited one moment, poignantly deep the next.

Reuben recently completed the spring “momentum” tour with tobyMac, is playing many key festivals this summer including Cornerstone, Atlantafest, Creation East and West, Spirit West Coast and Kingdom Bound, and will announce fall touring plans soon.

I absolutely love it.

This has got to be some of the best hip-hop to ever come out of the Christian music community!

Bring it on.

Blessings,
Andy

Bill Marcus Review Quote

What does this complete non-talent, talent sucker know about music? He's anti-religion, an utter phoney who used a familial connection to bully his way onto artists' lines to become a critic. He's always been a critic. Because he himself cannot engage in the art.

Bill Marcus of Musicforce is a phony who should be locked way for war crimes during his PsyOps years during Vietnam, now trying desperately to pass himself off as a "good christian."

I was going to ask you why you posted in a TWO AND A HALF YEAR OLD thread....but now I'm not sure what to ask, except that you explain yourself a lot lot more.

I'd say someone with a personal vendetta seeing as Musicforce has been defunct now for quite some time.
