Their songs have appeared on MTV, ESPN, and Fox Family shows multiple times, as well as in feature films including "Legally Blonde" (end title song) and "The Glass House," as well as on network and cable television programs including "Alias," "The Practice" and "Good Morning America" on ABC, "Cadet Kelly" on the Disney Channel, and "So Little Time" on FOX. Currently, Superchic[k] is in the studio recording their sophomore project, slated to release through inpop on September 24th, 2002. In addition to nearly 80 spring and summer solo dates, Superchic[k] will tour with Newsboys on their fall 2002 tour, and recently performed their #1, Dove-nominated "Barlow Girls" on the live telecast of the 34th Annual Dove Awards on PAX TV.
After being included as 7Ball magazine's "Please Sign This Band!" artists of 2000, Superchic[k], just your average girl-fronted, pop-punk, hip-hop, disco-funk, garage band, landed at inpop records as the label's first U.S. signing. Conceived after being on the road and listening to the issues teens face, Superchic[k] is a gender-neutral term referring to someone who has figured out who they're supposed to be. "We believe that God has a destiny for everyone, a path to greatness," they say. |
