oh definitely setzer...he's prolly the coolest guitarist ever. chuck berry too. and i'm throwing in elvis presley since his ed sullivan show only showed him from the waist up.

i voted petrucci because the speed at which his fingers move looks cool. plus i think he's cool. overall though...setzer all the way.

[N.ô]I'm inclined to deduct coolness points from anybody that suffers from the dreaded guitar face (http://www.angelfire.com/tx/singlecoil/face.html) - sure they may be conveying some sort of emotion, but they're not very cool.

[me]oh now!!.......if you tape BB Kings mouth shut and fixed it where he couldn't make facial expressions, he prolly couldn't even play

Poor guy. You need to be exposed to a wider variety of music.

I would be interested to know who you listen to. I am convinced that 99% of die-hard Creed fans are teenagers who don't know any better.

I read your list and it didn't change my mind. Each to his own, I guess.

You said you like Whitecross, King's X, and Hendrix, so here's some really good stuff you should check out:

King's X - listen to the self titled album and "Faith Hope Love"

Whitecross - check out the albums "Triumphant Return" and the "Love on the Line" EP.

Hendrix - listen to the "Are You Experienced?" album.

Other bands to listen to if you like Whitecross - Ratt (Whitecross' secular clone), Zion, Holy Soldier, X-Sinner, Bloodgood

Other bands to listen to if you like Hendrix - Cream (Eric Clapton), Led Zeppelin, SRV, Jeff Beck, etc...

The guitarists that inspire me the most are:

James Hetfield (great songwriter, not the best guitarist I know)
Steve Vai
Kirk Hammett
Yngwie Malmsteen
Dave Mustaine
Marty Freidman
John Petrucci
Jeff Beck
Michael Angelo
and my guitar teacher, Al, who, like me, listens to everything from Megadeth to Vai to Antonio Carlos Jobim
