There's something very unsettling to me about the comment in italics... Everyone's entitled to their own opinion, but to me that's completely wrong and the opposite of what we as Christians are called to do. You should NEVER 'put your witness on hold'. We're called to live the life so that others might see the light of Jesus in us and putting that life 'on hold' is direct disobedience to that command. Anyway, that had nothing to do with Creed, but I felt obligated to speak up there....

Im with Brent on that one that in my mind is very wrong. I don't think I witness enough as it is, if I put it on hold it would be even ugliar.

i dunno somebody might have said this but creed doenst have christian lyrics they have spirtual lyrics aka they were not inspired by Jah ( God ). proof of this is how they act ( hanging out in strip clubs, cussing, picking fights ( mainly scott stapp wtih fred durst ). ) and the things they say ( too many ignoraant remarks too list ) .

For your info, Fred Durst is the one that started to thing with Creed. He got mad because he had to do a show during the day and Creed got to do it after dark. How would u respond to someone u had never met if they came to your dressing room and started dissin' at u for no reason. The jerk pouted and would'nt go on stage for an hour.
Dude, you need to listen to Creed if you do not think they are Christian lyrics. Ya'll should go to the debate in the "what do you think about creed'' thread in the Secular forum. Look there and come to your own conclusion.

I agree. No Chrisian should respond that way. But..."...ye who have no sin cast the first stone." I an not condoning his actions. But, we are all sinners. Just because someones sins, does not make them unsaved. (which he may or may not be) But he also knows he is a sinner, which is very important.
I researched the incident, by a non-biased reporter they handled the situation well. I also read the statement they released just prior to the incident. according to that, they also acted appropriatly.

"i like creed" you da girl

o ok well in my opinion he acted very immature in handleing it and no way was i condemning him and i never said he wasnt a christian infact i said he was one.

and i would like to read both statements that you are talking of if you ahve them or remmeber them or whatever post them.

oh your comment about listening to creed to hear there lyrics well i have, my brother loves creed and i ahve listened to many of there songs over and over and over and yes over agian and concluded that they are spirutaul lyrics not christian though.

cdnow.com is were i read the stuff.
I apologize if i was biting your head off.
Yea, i guess i kinda agree that the lyrics are spiritual. My Own Prison is really the only song with truly "Christian" lyrics.

Okay personally I don't know why Creed is on here if their lyrics aren't spiritual or christian they talk about how they personally feel. Yeah I'm going to admit their songs are really good and pure i guess you can say but their way of life isn't and that is all that matters. Listen to something listen to something that will help edify you spirit not soemthing that will bring it down.:kshock:

Thumbs down Creed

Creed is not a Christian band! You can look it up on their website under Frequently Asked Questions. Someone asked if they were a Christian band and they strait out said NO! Thats all the proof anyone should need. Check it out! The lead singer says he is a Christian and thats cool but the band is not a Christian band.

Lightbulb

i just saw an interview of creed from channel v. creed's frontman Scott Stapp said :"i'm a very spiritual man..."
and the ''my sacrifice''s lyric says like this:
'' hello my friend we meet again.......within my heart are memories of perfect love that you gave to me, i remember..."
he is like telling that he wants to be with God again....maybe he is repenting or whatever....
but the problem is- what is his religion?
i suppose it's christian...what about u all?

Well I think he is a Christian...Or at least believes in Christ.
What I am also thinking is maybe the rest of his band is not Christian...And thats what is stoping them from being a Christian band...I dunno...
But in all songs he talks about Christ, "The faceless man" about God showing his love...Him loveing God and all kinda things...

I do think HE Scott Stap is a believer!!!
