| Yes! I found them. Here they are. And yes, indeed, it does sound like he's going back to God. How wonderful.
Hello my friend we meet again
It's been a while where should we begin...feels like forever.
Within my heart are memories...
Of perfect love that you taught me...
I remember...
When you are with me...
I'm Free...I'm Careless... I Believe.
Above all the others...we'll fly...
This brings tears...to my eyes...
My sacrifice...
We've seen our share of ups and downs.
Oh...how quickly life can turn around...In an instant.
It feels so good to reunite...
With yourself and with your mind...
Let's find peace there...
When you are with me...
I'm Free...I'm Careless... I Believe.
Above all the others...we'll fly...
This brings tears...to my eyes...
My sacrifice...
I just want to say hello again

| I agree w/ ppl who say they shouldn be on here. Anyone who says they dont want to be a christian, is a straight up sellout. I mean i think their music is awesome, but if anything, they ARE sellouts, that turns me off, same thing with lifehouse. |

| Actually, read the lyrics to the new single and see what you think.
I think he's changed.

| (I've been using this website for a long time now. I love this resource..... anyway this is my first post! ^_^)
I took a look at the song "What's This Life For." I agree that songs with profanity do not belong on a Christian website, thanks for removing it. ^_^
Just one thing I wanted to point out though: that word is indeed profane, but it is not the equivalent of "Taking God's name in vain." I am a youth minister and I find this to be a common misconception. "God" is not God's name. It is a description or title. Just like "President" is not President Bush's name.
The word "God" describes what Jesus is. Jesus is still His name. The word "God" describes what YHWH is. YHWH is still His name.
I know it seems kind of nitpicky.... but I think it is an important distinction because we need to know WHO "God" is. The word "God" can refer to a lot of things (especially in our modern culture!) But Jesus refers to ONE definite person. So does YHWH.
Notice this: When they do a multi-religious service they can always safely pray to "God" because this will not offend Hindu's, Muslims, Christians, or Jews. Remember when we had the National Day of Prayer? They had a Muslim cleric, a Rabbi, a Roman Catholic, and Billy Graham. The Muslim, the Rabbi, and the Roman Catholic just said "God please bless our country and protect us" and things like that. Billy Graham was VERY bold and immediately invoked the name of Jesus Christ. Some people were offended by that and thought he should have just said "God" like the others. Again this just goes to show that some people aren't talking about the same God when they use that word.
If someone says "JESUS!!" angrily, I take that much more seriously than if they say "GOD!!" Since yelling out "Jesus" IS taking the name of God in vain. |

| Creed is, in my opinion, a christian rock band.Scott Stapp, the lead singer, is a pastor's kid. Also, i've been asking my christian and non-christian friend if they think that creed is Christian or not, and just about all of them said yes.So i strongly think that Creed is a christian band.
God Bless
Dan
P.S: a belive that christian music is music written by a christian. So, in my book, Creed qualifies as a christian band. |

#43 | | Guest | What are you talking about? Scott Stapp is not a pastor's kid. His dad is a doctor.
Here's the deal: Scott's dad is a believer, and they sent Scott off to a Christian college. Scott kept smoking marijuana so the college had no choice but to kick him out of the dorms. Scott has been whining about this ever since and reflects on it as a time he left the institution of Christianity.
Since then, Scott has continued to use phrases from the Bible in his lyrics (the opening line of the new CD Weathered says something about "These thorns in my side"), but Scott said on VH1 that "the truth is around us, and it's not Christianity."
I think you can call his theology Christian-influenced, but it is not Christianity. Even he himself doesn't want to be labeled that. I personally think he is CONFUSED.
He is trying to clean up his life (no more drinking or drugs - partly in thanks to his wife) and the best thing you can do is pray for the seeds of Christ sewn in him to grow into full out conviction of God's truths.
In the meantime, I do find his confused theology a little annoying, especially with the self-righteousness it packs. He is just as holier-than-thou as the Christian college that disciplined him.
So I listen to Creed because I like the music of Mark Tremonte (their guitarist). If I could get "Karaoke Creed" - with Stapp cut out of it, I think I would like it more!!!! | |

| Thank you for that information, Bob. I never knew this, and I'm sure there are others that didn't either.
I am annoyed at Stapp too, btw.
