| I see where you're coming from, Kody, and it's a good point. They say they aren't Christians...their lifestyles definitely say it as well. But all that aside, lyrics are always open to interpretation and theirs have been known to have spiritual meaning in them whether or not that was the intent. I guess it just proves we should be praying for them that much more if they're obviously searching that much.

| creed i know the creed thing has been beaten into the ground, but the tab for "what's this life for" has our God's name being used in vain. whether or not that's how it was meant, i don't know, but it should not be on a christian website. |

| i dont think it was ment that way, to me that song has a strong spiritaul meaning to it, but weather or not they intended it to be that way or not is another story that I cant answer

| creed i've heard the singer say that he didn't mean it that way, but the point is that most people take it that way, and this being a christian website, it probably should not be here. |

| no creeds lyrics are not christian..they are what i would call spritually insprired...the pead singer scott stapp had to read the bible every night and copy it..so a lot of his lyrics are , yes inspired by the word of God. but not really direct...

| Hey guitar-rocks-
I never knew that about Drowning Pool, that is really interesting...good band, too.
I read that Stapp was raised in a Christian home, as you all say, but he rebelled against his faith after he left home. I think that part of him wants to accept the Bible, partly because he was raised as a Christian, but I also think he wants to justify some of the other things he does and writes about in his songs.
One of his songs, although I cannot remember which, reflects a deistic belief. It goes something like, "We are hollow, for our maker has gone away..." Of course, it could mean something like, creation has yet to be redeemed, and until that time, we will not be made whole. |

| Hey, have any of you heard the new Creed single? It's called "My Sacrifice", and to me it seems like it's about Stapp coming back to God. I'll post my transcription of the lyrics as soon as I can. But it sounds really interesting spiritually. And it's a great song musically too.
