| I like that one "Draw Me Close." It never mentions any traits of God that couldn't be true of your boyfriend/girlfriend. It never says God or holy or any other word that is only true of God. It would work really well as Phil Collin's next single. |

| yeah. i think my favorite church songs right now are "praise adonai", "better is one day", "salvation" and "be thou my vision". "better is one day" is based on one of the psalms..."salvation" is just straight fun. |

| alrite i saw this old interview on tv and i just had to post here to tell about it.
theres this local show in houston called MxTv, and they ran a re-run of an old episode in which the singer from creed was interviewed. he said, very directly, that the band is NOT a christian band, they do NOT intend to spread christian messages through their music, and the other 3 members of the band are not even of the christian faith(or religious at all for that matter)
he says that he was raised christian and is afraid to steer kids in the wrong direction so he tries to keep everything clean, but is in no way devoted to christian teaching and actually questions his own faith and wonders whether or not he is a christian, or that he even feels that he believe in any of the christian teachings or in jesus.
hope that helps |

Not saying they did or even that I think they did, but just that they could've. Personally, I dont really like Creed anymore (they used to be my favorite). I like Tremonti's guitar work, but thats about it. I really dont like the rest. So I havent kept up with Stapp's faith at all. |

| I saw that episode, too. At the end of the show, when the host gave the regular "altar call" speech, he said something to the effect of, "I know God wants you to [accept salvation], and I think Scott would, too." Don't quote me on that, though. All I remember specifically is that he made a reference to Scott Stapp wanting something, that basically made him look like a Christian. I hate that show. |

| Creed is known to say contradicting things in different interviews. Sometimes they're all Christians without a doubt, but only Scott is the super spirtual one. Other times Scotts says he's still searching and that the church has perverted the teachings of Christ. Thus he has some sort of universalist belief. Now you're saying this.... |

later | it's not a question of voting their beliefs...it's mostly a question of what do you believe, and can they make up their minds?
if Scott Stapp is a Christian, then it seems to me that he is not very well grounded or that he takes a very liberal translation of the Bible. |

later | I disagree. I believe that Heaven will be a democracy. It probably will be very similiar to Survivor. We'll look at everyones good works and vote on who gets into heaven and who doesn't. |

later | The person who originally started the thread put the poll up. At some point, a moderator closed the poll because of the very reason you stated. The poll has been closed for (literally) years, so you can't actually vote on it anymore, but there's really no way to remove it without removing the entire thread.
And yes, Sean is joking. |
