The end is always in sight
Just over the next hill
And we've come so far
We might as well finish
Thats what you always say
And whats the point in finishing?
Just to say we;ve done it
And I don't get you
I'm tired
Lets stop now
You always say just over the next hill
Just over the next hill
Well the next hill came and went
Five hills ago
And I'm ready to go home now
So goodbye
You finish by yourself
And goodbye, forever goodbye.

Shimmer and fade, children of the sun. It's best for everyone involved if you go out slowly and with dignity. If it was up to me, your time would never come. Your songs would never fade away. But the light of day calls you away and I for one won't hold you back. But I will go along. There's nothing left here for me, just realized dreams that can't be topped. I've stopped going back to my old place on the edge of the woods. It's all well and good I had it in the dark days when I need a way to clear my head. But instead of going back, I've set my face to the sun. I'm going with the children of the sun. So shimmer and fade, children of the sun, you've laid to rest all the problems that kept you from heading west. Go west, young men. And once again life will be new and things you do will have a fresh sheen. I mean, it's been years, hasn't it?

Shimmer, shammer
Coat your forked tounge with silver
Take the hammer
To the back of my head

Foolish wisdom
Is what you live by
Your own kingdom
Is what you build

Major dealings
You write and break
Never healing
What you killed

Take it back.

word: destruction

EDIT: I think I'm going to work this into a rap song...

LOL nice Galen!

I hear your voice ringing throughout my head
I cannot stop it from overcoming my being
Making me do things I cannot cease from doing
Destruction of my very being
Cannot take control once they have come to life
Come to life to reveal their evil plan
Evil plan to take over
Take over you
Take over me
Watch out
Watch your back
He'll get you too.

Word: disconcerting

It's like that there's a music, playing in your ear And I'm listening, and I'm listening, and then I disappear And then I feel a change, like a fire deep inside Something bursting me wide open, impossible to hide And suddenly I'm flying, flying like a bird Like Electricity, electricity Sparks inside of me, and I'm free, I'm free

Down with the bad boys, as
I go through with pain
See to it that i don't scream, and
Carry out the plan.
Onward to glory we march, while the
Nile awaits our arrival.
Catch the morning dew on our
Evergreen treeless bark.
Race you to the finish line, your
Traits never were good.
I've been waiting for this long and
Now you've left without a
Good-bye?

Major:

Silence filled the halls again; we had not thought christmas could be so grim. But the holly faded long ago, and Mary's halo long was broke, and it would take something major to turn the tide, this long-awaited war on our souls. For the reaper has come, and has tried to take all, and the dread-all silence fills the halls, of not only our bodies but our minds as well. Has he won again? Will we find some grain, hidden somehow by the strain of broken glass and pain? Shall we hunt down hope? In pursuit of honor, will we go? And shall it be where it has always been? Can we bear the shame if we return without a glimmer? What if we should find the grail, long-spoke of in our older tales? For truth we know can turn the dark and bring a light to guide our hearts, and often brings us brand-new stars as we know it may tonight. It may well tonight. Let us bow our heads and wait and may we know when dawn's fires break the answer where we go. For we will surely go. The very thought of heaven's light shining on us brings us life and breaks the hold of death upon our minds. For we will live. And we will grow! And in the name of glory, go! Out to the hills and let them ring with story, praise song, joyful hymn! In Jesus' name we rise! This major change that's wrought in us will show the world we mean to love, and heaven in our eyes will show His touch. This christmas, let the old things rust, the holly, mistletoe...and trust, that God will bring a change to this world we rearrange, or pretend that we do. And in His powerful way that each of us will also change so that we only care that He is in control.

Locked into a corner, up against the wall,
I know you've been stumbling, trying not to fall.
I can feel your sorrow, and I can share your pain
I can hear the questions exploding in your brain.
Walking in the shadows, feeling all alone;
Looking for the answers, rolling every stone.
'Tis a run in silence, and laughing nearly came
Though my eyes can't see you, I know we're much the same.
-Just The Same, Phil Keaggy

The sky is raining tears tonight My brother You know it's hard to sleep So far from home The moon has covered up her eyes My sister I thought I'd find you here But I am all alone All alone Light of Heaven Lord of mercy Shine the goodness Of your love upon this day Till we see you Till we know you Till the sorrow And the darkness fades away Fades away I searched the city streets today My father The tunnel and the train The river and the rain I walked beneath the harbor lights My mother And in the shadows there I call your name I call your name

Like Children Would
take a walk in Eden
take it anywhere
beside the creeper and thickets
we'll hold souls in our hands and burn them for our children

keep them warm
keep them clothed
in their rain coats or bubble jackets
and hold their heads high for them, much to your chagrin

dismay at the hint of a burning ray
burn the clay into moldable wax
and we'll fashion our universe
and destroy it like children would

make an envelope
make it out of shirts
mail them to India, or Iraq to the Kurds
could they figure out we were just screwing with them?

dig a trench
dig a well
we'll make a time capsule-
G.I. Joe action figures making out with our Barbies

Dig and dig and dig to China
On and off and off and on
Off again, you twirl away
Donning your glistening tears
Leading you on and dropping you hard
Ever stop to think if I'm worth it?

And I realized I'd never be alone again.
In the botanical garden,
Down on your knee.
I can't speak, but only cry...
Every path of life has different choices...
I just chose you.
I see the prisms being cast by the ring
In them I see a white dress
A guest list
And most of all, love that cannot be anymore wonderful.
And I realized I'd never be alone again.

In case you haven't notice
I am quite capable of taking care of myself
And I don't need you to take care of me
If you're so perfect, go find someone perfect like you
and I don't need you to take care of me
I don't I don't I do.

Your fairness is nonexistent
Like me saying I'm the Prince of some far off land.
I see how you treat them,
And how you treat me instead
Like I'm some sort of disease.
Fair? Not even. Life? You got it.
Life with you is like that of a prisoner's life
Or maybe it is like that of the life of an untouchable?
Yes yes that will do.
For long before I knew right from wrong
You had in your evil plan, all along
Ready to keep me locked away
When that didn't work
You always had something else up your sleeve
Something worse
Much worse.
When I did something wrong
I was punished, so punished,
Yet when they did something wrong,
They recived none but a slap on the hand and
A cookie, and were sent on their way.
Smile all you can,
Be as fake as you may be
But your happy faces with your fake fairness
Will never fool me.

Fair and square, all is love and war
Ancient times are far off
I saw you, and you saw me
Ringing in my ears
Never-ending. never-ending.
Everlasting mirror image
Shine on me, stars from above
Save me from within.

I'll be here working with the illegal immigrants at Taco Bell while you're off "saving the world" with rock and roll. It is well with my soul that I am the last man alive and alone in a crowd. My ideas aren't fresh enough for kids of all ages and my company isn't enough to land you in the society pages. Well, it's time to relegate you to the back of my mind. I wasted my best time and time signatures on your masterpieces. The least you could do is admit the impact I've tried to have and how I've strived to have you on the straight and narrow. I try to contain myself in panels and bold, comical font so maybe some morning I'll awake to find myself a resident in the ink-and-pencil realms where I delve to take my mind of real-life crime. I've done my time as your associate. I'll be here working with the illegal immigrants at Taco Bell while you're off "saving the world" with rock and roll. It is well with my soul that I am the last man alive and alone in a crowd. I guess no one else can see the fallen walls and the Statue of Liberty half-buried in the sand. I'm the last man alive in a bustling, crowded land, where the lower species keep men in cages, and I'm working hard on getting Dr. Zaius into the society pages. See you in the sequel.

you leave me standing
in the dark
christmas season time
you ask if it's obvious
my answer remains
i wait all day to talk to you.
you leave me standing
in the dark
the world is a lonely place
all i wanted was someone to love
why do i always see your face?
