Yeah. I felt the same way about the series when I watched that episode. But then I watched about six more. I hate the series though. I can't think of any other thing that is more wasteful of my time then watching that show. It is hideous.

I like it. If only I could remember to actually watch it.

The style is wonderful, and the way they poke fun at manga format is hilarious... it's even funnier when they make fun of mangas... in the manga of Fooly Cooly. It's like Lupin III meets Rurouni Kenshin meets Gundam SD meets Evangelion.

Hah, I saw some. I didn't read it, but I should. I just saw it was "FLCL" and I thought, "Oh brother, if you can't understand it well visually, why read it?"

I think I may....read like half of it in Barns and Noble.

Alright... I am in dire need of help!! LOL

My friend being the loving soul that she is... bought me a DVD... it is anime... and she is sweet...

HOWEVER, I think that she did not realize that III means three... and there are two other DVDs before the one that has III on it... Usually II and I, in reverse order

So, I am sitting here with ARMITAGE III Poly Matrix in my hands... and a very confused look upon my little face

I tried to look up what comes before this, however, I am met with defeat in all areas. And this makes me sad. Plus I am afraid to watch it, because what if I hate it, but then learn that I would have loved it if only I had seen I and II.

Oh... this is so terribly confusing... someone give me some direction... please?!?!

Nah. I just refresh the CGR index about every three minutes, and if I see a post in a thread I like, or by a person I like (ie, Art, tropicana, you.) I will go visit. Oh yes, that is the way I work.

I come to this thread regularly anyhow, because I like anime. And the computer's forum is also on my top ten forums list.

At this very moment, I am really thoroughly obsessed with Banner of the stars/Crest of the stars. I also REALLY like Big O. Big O has some amazing character development.

I do not know that I have seen Banner of the Stars/Crest of the Stars... sounds fun though. Why genre is it?

I have seen Big O. I am not sure exactly how I feel about it. I guess I missed the whole premise behind it, because when I do get the chance to watch it I feel like I am drowning in a puddle of mud. Well... not so much.

I don't really kow what my *favorite* anime is... I am currently in love with several of them right now...

I just ordered The End of Evangelion... and that series is one of the best...

Vampire Hunter/Vampire Hunter D is good for a once in a while movie.

Ghost in the Shell also follows under that

Also, I have a movie called... Blood the last vampire. That one is good too, only good luck trying to get it in English, at least I had a hard time, and still it goes from Japan. to Eng. and back again.

My favorite "series" would probably be Love Hina as of right now. It is so stinking funny... at least I think so... some people might disagree with me though...

The only thing is that it is pretty sexual in the nature of its convos and situations. I don't that it "shows" anything... but.

I seem to have the WORST time finding "moral" anime that I like. I am not usually into the fighter anime, although Kenshin, and X are some that I like. The problem with Kenshin is that the "series" is so large, that I think that it will take me out of house and home before I get them all.

Also... I buy all my anime...why... don't ask me

Oh also, I do enjoy Pilot Candidate. They used to show it on Adult Swim on Sat nights. I do not think that they do anymore though. It is a short "series" Only 4 DVDs. And it is pretty unique. The storylines are interesting (etc)

They play Banner of the Stars on TechTV on weeknights. I have no clue what genre it would be. It sacrifices almost all of it's time to character development, which, incase you hadn't noticed, makes me like it.

Big O, once you get into it is incredibly interesting. to me at least. Dorothy's (android) character is VERY VERY awesomely done. IT is amzing. I mean, I am so buying this on DVD once I get some money. It is an awesome series.

As far as most of the animes you mentioned. They personify everything I dislike about anime.

Haha. I think anime is excellent when used correctly, but weird/disturbing in the bloody vampire flicks. That isjust me though. I am a pretty soft person, and hate anything over "normal" violence.

Not really, I just dislike having nasty dreams. Not scary, just nasty... And I have vivid dreams, and they are heavily influenced by what I watch.

Now THAT was more then you wanted to hear.

Now about the moral anime, I must agree with you. As I said, my favorite is the banner of the Stars series, but there are a couple of episodes in it that are pretty sick and tasteless. It is difficult to find "good" anime, that is also not perverse.

*GASP* are you saying that you don't like the Evangelion series? *GASP*

I am not usually one for blood either, and the movies I mentioned don't show blood, they show the black/blue/solid color background with red lines... I can take that a lot better than the blood depicted in "real" movies. Yeah, I am not much of a person for vampire/cult/ghost/scary stuff... but... yes. I like those movies.

There was one movie that was recogmended to me... called Perfect Blue... and I borrowed it from the friend who recommended it... and I am glad that I borrowed and did not buy... it was so not good... I mean... I am sure the story was good... but I had to stop watching it right in the middle of the movie... it was really dark... and not moral at all.

I think/know why"moral" anime is so hard to find... it is because our culture is so different from the creater's (of the anime). To them it is not wrong to show things that we get offended at. Which does not make it right... but... may help some people understand the differences... maybe
