Muslim woman who showed up at my church wanting to become a Christian!

Hi y'all,

So something rather remarkable happened the other day. After Vespers, a hijabi (ex)Muslim woman showed up at my church and wanted to talk to our priest while he was hearing confessions. I talked to her for a little while, she's engaged to a guy who's a convert (and subsequent apostate) from Islam and who was received into the Orthodox Church a couple years ago. She said she'd been convinced to abandon Islam through conversations with her fiancee and just realizing that Islam is... not the Truth. There are too many holes in it. She had found our church through contacting the priest at the Arab/Antiochian church in town (she is Pakistani, and doesn't speak Arabic well except to say her salat/prayers, but she thought the Arab church would be a logical place to start for an ex-Muslim), who then directed her to his fellow English-language Antiochian priest in Langley, who then directed her to us, since Langley is a... long way from Vancouver.

Anyway, there's a lot in her story that's pretty unclear to me, but it's clear that she's at least moderately concerned for her safety if she continues to question and distance herself from Islam, as she currently lives with her parents. In your charity, if you'd pray for her I'd appreciate it. Her name is known to God, as it's probably a bad idea to put it on the internet, even though prayer requests is a private forum. She said that my pastor told her that he's ready to receive her as a catechumen (a person formally preparing for baptism) whenever she wants, but coming to our church involves basically deceiving her parents about where she is.

The tree of Eden once caused bitterness,
But the Tree of the Cross made sweetness of life to blossom!
In tasting the first, Adam fell into to corruption,
But as we eat the Body of Christ we are given life and mystically deified,
Receiving God's eternal Kingdom.
Therefore we cry out in faith:
Glory to Your suffering, Lord!

Thanks y'all. We've seen this lady at almost every service we've had since I posted first, so evidently God has done something in her life already. Our usual practice is to go for sushi on Saturday nights after Vespers with our priest and his family and whoever wants to come, and she sat with him and asked tons of questions.

I didn't actually know this, because I wasn't at church last Sunday, but she became a catechumen (i.e. joined those preparing for Holy Baptism) last Sunday!
