Honest Question about video screens & how they present

So like it says--this is an honest question-I am looking for input, info, etc.
just trying to understand stuff.
I may add more comments later, but certainly will ask questions to clarify any responses, etc.

This isn't an essential theologically, etc--so no judgement that way nor any condemnation.

So if anybody here attends/belongs o a church that uses video screens & has the worship team on the screens--do you know why hey do that?
Officially I mean.
You can certainly mention why you like it, etc.
I am trying to get a handle on this.

I was in a different church than my own recently for a conference & Saturday night service.
The host church supplied a worship team as part of the conference (Excellent conference by the way)

The worship team was shown on large screens (It was a large sanctuary)
The words were shown in the lower bottom left corner--taking up maybe about 1/16 of the screen.

So I get that people may want to see the musicians/singers--but
1-is that the only reason for it?
2-Why the words so small & the musicians so large?

just wondering if anybody has any input on this--again, no an essential so no issue that way.
just wondering.

Please keep the responses civil.

Thanks,

I know in my experience I try and watch the gear while it's going on... it's very distracting for the people next to me when I get excited over little things.

Some big churches I have been at do it. It allows for people in the very back to see what is going on. They also do it during the preaching.

I remember they didn't use it in smaller services where the balconies were closed as everyone is close to the scene.
