For the sake of the brand, hopefully it does go under, and then someone competent buys it up, cleans it up, leans it up, and gets the ship sailing smoothly again.

More quality instruments in the $1,500 - $2,000 range and fewer stupid $5,000, shag wagon novelty guitars.

I'm mostly an acoustic player, so take that into consideration, but I've never played a Gibson acoustic that I really enjoy playing - especially for the price. You'll hear talk of the "Gibson Growl" but in my hands all I hear is boredom. There are just so many better options out there both domestically and internationally. Lots of rumors lately about quality control issues in Bozeman, too. Since I can barely get past the tone of the Gibson, the fit and finish never really enter my mind while test driving. And for transparency's sake, I even own a Gibson acoustic electric which I'd love to sell but has sort of become a family heirloom.

So... say someone was wanting to buy a Les Paul... is there a particularly good time to do this now? :P

He was crushed for our iniquities;
The punishment that brought us peace was upon Him,
And by His wounds we are healed.

Bankruptcy doesn't necessarily mean they go away. It probably just means they sell off assets and start over.
We've all got ideas. We are the music makers. We make money to buy things, and write down words.

I'm a podcaster
