THE TIGERS DIDN'T LOSE TONIGHT!

their game was stopped after half an inning due to rain.

Yep Brian, the Tabbies are just as bad with Luis Pujols as they were with Phil Garner.

the problem ain't the coach cowboy.....

it was the GM tho

because of him we have little talent beyond the reasonable starters and when the starters slump we are screwed.

*sigh* we'll win sooner or later....

I agree with you that Detroit's problem is more about the dreadful dearth of talent than the bad managing. Basically, you have a few decent starters, and a bunch of utility players. That Matt Anderson is good though.....

Dmitri Young, Robert Fick, Dean Palmer (once healthy), Bob HIggenson, and Mitch Melusky are really the only ones who would have a chance of starting on another baseball team this year. I'm not saying they would for sure, but they could probably vie for time and, at worst, come off of the bench. Other than that.... its pretty week. We do have some good young talent though. Yes its his seventh year, but this year looks to be the first full season of playing time for Jacob Cruz. He's batting .364 right now.... another one is Mike Rivera. He looks like he will put forth some quality innings for the team. Other than that.... its pretty weak. Our starting pitcher are good, but like last year, middle relief is weak. No, this years relievers aren't NEARLY as bad as last year, in my opinion, but still kind of bad.

Well.... maybe we will win tonight

Go Tigers!

but yeah, I do think that Garner is one of the less skilled managers in the league.... but I don't know of many managers around the game today that would field a winning season out of this team. Phil pretty much just got caught up in a bad situation here.

its too bad
