I don't like Elixers at all. They seem to have a muted sound.

Acoustic- Martin SPs Med ONLY!!!

Electric- Dean Markley Regulars.

Mandolin- Ronnie Mcoury Med

Bass- Ken Smith 5-Strings

I use Dean Markley's on my Electric.

Try S.I.T. (Stay In Tune). Made in Ohio and sold on most websites if you're not in Ohio.

They are the only string with a money-back guarantee to stay in tune!!! (unless of course you stick a weed-wacker on them or something)

My favorite recent quote on CGR:

"Bono is so full of himself that it hurts. Every time I read one of his quotes, it makes me want to puke on his face. It was a good quote, but it is made bad by the fact that he is more self-righteous than George Clooney.
- Art

I am slowly re-assimilating back into the CGR.

My fav are Elixer 12 gauge light strings. the coating makes them last a whole lot longer.

I agree with the elixir string fans.

I play my acoustic really hard and elixirs are the only ones that seem to not break as often.

And I like the way they sound, and if you're moving your hands a lot over the guitar doing different stuff, it seems to be not as noisy. (i.e. bar chords and the like)
