I never said he didn't work hard. He's a good athlete. He has to work to be in the shape he's in. However, he could care about his teammates a little more and give them some credit.

Did you ever read the interview in ESPN the Mag (i think) with him last year? It's not that he doesn't care, he's just a really introverted guy. He just does his own thing and doesn't like the media spotlight. He loves the game and has the skills that puts him on Sportscenter every night. Personally I'd love to see him hit 80, but if he keeps hitting like he has this early it's gonna be a walk fest everytime he gets to the plate by mid-April.

this just sounds like the Roger Maris syndrom all over again. Why can't fans like and appreciate a guy who plays his butt off but doesn't bend over backwards to please the media?

True.

Bonds is gettin' the Maris similarities. But similarities are good.

I mean, people are sayin' Bonds looks and plays similar to Willie Mays and Ted Williams. Dude, I'd love to be in the same sentence with those two baseball icons.

Similarities are never good when they cause you to be compared to a Yankee/former Yankee.

<br>You're really enthusiastic about the music that you like. You attempt to discover your new favourite
band every week. You continually try to get your friends into the music you like, which annoys them, but you don't know it. At least you're not arrogant about it.
