DID you go to a Middle School?

There are Middle Schools in Canada but they're not NEAR as popular as they are in the States.

Just wonderin' if ya went to one.

And also, what are the grades for Middle School?

6-8?

In my area, they are 6-8, but some schools have 5th graders in the middle schools, and some schools have 9th graders in the middles schools. It really depends on the local school system.

Nope, there's no middle schools in Quebec as far as I know, although some high schools set up special "middle years" programs. Here it's K-6 for elementary, 7-11 for high school. Then there's CEGEP. Blehhhhh.

No. My school just got a middle school this year. grades 6-8 are in it but the 6th grade is still just like it was in the elementary except it is in a different part of the building. I think it's stupid.

Our MS is 5-8. . .I'm homeschooled though. We also have 2 private schools that go through 6th, then another one that is 7-12.

k-6 was my first school, 300 metres from my house. 7-8 was my 2nd school, 1.5 km from my house, and 9-13 was my 3rd school, 12 km from my house.

And now I'm in college, 15 km from my house.

If your school is 6-8, its a JUNIOR High, but if its 7-8 its a middle school. I don't know what 5-8 or 7-9 is, but all you people that thought you went to a junior high actually went to a middle school.

Ugh - I wish I hadn't gone to middle school! Mine was 7th and 8th grade. Technically, a true middle school is 6th, 7th, and 8th and a junior high is 7th and 8th, but our school district is stupid. We have K-4th for elementary, then an intermediate school for 5-6, and so on. But yeah, middle school stunk. I love high school about as much as I hated middle school.
