Financial Aid?

Hey,

I go to a Christian University, and I am having a little trouble with being able to pay for it.

The thing is, my parents make just enough money to where I can't get very much financial aid, but make just not enough to not be able to afford me to go to school. And on top of all that, they didn't qualify for a parent loan, so I am taking almost all of the financial burdens on myself.

I love it, love it, love it at this school, and God has really been using me and some friends to do some awesome works for God here. You would think that because it is a Christian university, that we wouldn't have any problems, but we do.

Anyway, the point of this thread: Does anyone know of some places, other than FastWeb where I can get scholarships? I am really not interested in any more loans, I am taking out more than my fair share. Thank you guys for all your help!

Well, I'm sorry I can't help very much but here's some info;

The only way you can get more money is by becoming an independent student (in no way am I telling you to do any of this, it's just info)

Independent students are:

1) Veterans of the armed forces (even Army Reserve)
2) Individuals over 24 (or that turn 24 on the applying school year)
3) Married with dependents ( or just dependents)
4) Some other way of proving that you cover all you expenses as an independent person. (in other words you're nobody's dependents)

Have you considered attending a community college just to knock out your general requirements? It could save you 2 years worth of tuition.
