It isn't that good. It sounds awesome, but is not that hard. I can play it, and so can the kid in my bro's band.

Oh, wow...Consuming Fire is not a hard fill at all. It fits the song great, and I probably wouldn't have thought of it, but actually playing it is really not very hard. There used to be a little movie clip of Carr showing how to play it on 3D's website

I'm talking about how he took that ridiculously simple fill and tunred it into such an awesome one!

None of the drummers mentioned are by any means the best Christian Drummer (except maybe David Husvik of Extol) but the best I've heard is Gustav from Crimson Moonlight, he plays some awesome black metal. And also Sheila E is really good. These 2 are so much more skilled than any of the others.

From what I am told Vinnie Coluiata is a Christian, but he doesn't play Christian music. So he would be the best hands down.

I'm not a big fan of rock drummers...and it's hard to tell with jazz drummers as their songs don't really have messages...........but my fav is steve hatfield..but he's not very well known

Ted Kirkpatrik from Tournaquet is a very good metal drummer, sick chops.

In my opinion:

Russell Castillo (Dogwood)

Jesse Sprinkle (Demon Hunter)

insane drummer --

you are correct - Colaiuta is a Christian, and he does play on christian marketed records, ( as well as tons of secular stuff ). Whe i saw him in clinic around '97, he actually took a few minutes to preach! after he played. awesome. I definately agree... if you put him in this "Who's the best christian drummer" thing.... no one comes close to him.

Lori Peters from Skillet is the best drummer (www.skillet.org & www.panheads.org have info on them)
Also, Lester Estelle from Pillar is another kickbutt drummer. He's 2nd best to Lori. For info on Pillar, go to www.pillarmusic.com
