Some interesting discussion here, as well as a sort of survey of Catholics in sci-fi. May be interesting to some of you.

It is definitely a treatment that is light-years away from the sort of statements that we hear from people like Ken Ham, who recently mentioned that aliens wouldn't be able to receive Christ because they don't share the same basic physiological/theological assumptions of humans.
