| Hello I'm a Christian singer songwriter. I found this forum while doing research on modding my Boss OS-2 pedal. Post from 11-07-2008 popped up for this forum during a search. I was wondering what manufacturer (Orange Caps, etc) BurkeMtn used for his mod. |

| welcome! you probably want to check out the instrument forums for some tips. we have a lot of great people with a lot of great gear knowledge.
(mine is pretty limited. i had to get a sound hole pickup wired into my acoustic and my idea of playing bass is to wire it through a tuning pedal and monitor, so that's where i am. luckily, many of our members use way more gear than i do.)

| Welcome! I echo the sentiment of Bravesfan, who echoed the sentiment of Beanbag. At some point, someone may well echo me, causing some sort of echo delay that would sound rather awesome were we to run a guitar through it.

| Thank you all (ya'll) for the kind greetings. Ran across an informative YouTube channel, Mr Carlson's Lab. The guy explains how to build a simple capacitor tester so a person doesn't inadvertently install a capacitor backwards. Unlike older caps the new ones have no markings to indicate the ground/chassis side.
I'll check out the instruments forums for info. Thanks again |

| I remember when a "guitar tech guy" told me I had been wiring my cabinet to my Peavey Revolution solid-state head incorrectly. I took his advice and ran the wiring as he recommended, and it turns out he was dead wrong and the two inputs on my cabinet became a send and a receive into (and back out of) my cabinet. The head stopped working in the middle of a gig, you could have fried an egg on it. I was pretty ticked.
All that to say, yep - sometimes putting things in backwards matters!
