I didn't get to see either of UNC's games.

I know I may be a jerk for thinking this but the day always seems a little brighter (even when it's overcast) when Duke loses the night before.

I have my reasons for liking that sentiment as well. Kansas and Duke have a loss on their record, which also relives quite a bit of pressure of going undefeated.

So many KU games are now on cable/satellite or other pay venues, I don't get to watch as many as I would like. Might have to consider Sling TV for the season.

I pull for Kansas in most situations.

You know the ones when I don't.

Just for fun I tried to put together the best NBA teams possible from current coaches at blue-blood NCAA teams. How do you think they'd do? What changes would you make? Other thoughts?

----------------------------------------------------

Calipari’s Wildcats
G: John Wall
G: Eric Bledsoe
F: Karl-Anthony Towns
F: Anthony Davis
C: Demarcus Cousins

Krzyzewski’s Blue Devils
G: Kyrie Irving
G: J.J. Redick
F: Luol Deng
F: Jabari Parker
C: Mason Plumlee

Self’s Jayhawks
G: Mario Chalmers
G: Ben McLemore
F: Xavier Henry
F: Markieff Morris
C: Cole Aldrich

Williams’ Tarheels
G: Ty Lawson
G: Danny Green
F: Harrison Barnes
F: Tyler Hansbrough
C: Tyler Zeller

Not bad, but couldn't find a place for Andrew Wiggins and perhaps Joel Embiid (who finally is playing) haha

In other odd news; the Jayhawks beat Texas in football First time since 1938!

Those Wildcats would absolutely destroy.

I don't think Hansbrough is on anyone's roster right now is he?

You could put:

Wayne Ellington
Ed Davis
Brandan Wright
John Henson
James McAdoo
Marvin Williams
Vince Carter

How is Vince still playing? Dude is old.

He played under Dean Smith, not Roy Williams. But yeah, he's old. And has produced quite a highlight reel in his time.

He played under Guthridge too.

Man. Retire Vince. Retire.

Do you think Indiana will ever play at Fort Wayne again?

I remember something similar happening several years ago when NC State went and played at East Carolina and lost. Of course, NC State wasn't ranked #3 in the country when it happened.

The thing I miss most about cancelling pay tv; sports broadcasts. Nearly everything else can be found elsewhere, but live sports are becoming more and more the domain of ESPN. I've toy'd with the idea of trying Sling TV, for awhile, but still haven't done it.

Even my Jayhawks basketball, which had nearly every game televised locally on over-the-air broadcast stations, have bidded the contract to pay channels. I am lucky if I can catch 5-10 games a year.
