I think it will be our downfall this season.
I won't get to watch much b-ball until Saturday.

Wow, West Virginia, who seemed to be on a down turn, really gave Kansas the business. I honestly didn't see that coming.

I also saw that Tennessee beat Kentucky.

Virginia put a beating on Notre Dame.

Marquette squeaked past Villanova.

This has been one crazy season so far.

Didn't get to watch it but UNC had a good win over a feisty Virginia Tech team last night. I see that the game is on YouTube so I'll watch it later today.

Did any of you see the story about Coach K banning the players from the locker room and telling them that they couldn't wear anything with Duke on it?

Duke Blue Devils coach Mike Krzyzewski bans players from locker room, forbids them from wearing school apparel

Crazy.

Kansas is in a bit of turmoil. Carlton Bragg has been suspended indefinitely for violating team rules. Don't know if is in any way related, there was a sexual assault in the athletic dorm, involving a 16 year old girl. Not sure if any basketball players were involved, but troubling to say the least. Coach Self usually puts character pretty high on his list for players, so I am proud of him for taking positive steps. Facing a Kentucky team that is always ready to play Kansas, and I'm thinking KU will just be lucky to stay close to UK.

The current state of things looks a lot different than the pre-season polls does't it?

I think UNC can win the ACC, get a good seed, and make it back to the Final Four this year. I'm biased but I still think they should have won it last year. I do see a level of intensity and sense of determination in this year's team that I haven't seen since Hansbrough came back his senior year. That gives me hope. However, this season has been crazy and anything can happen.

I imagine there will be more shuffling come Monday because several of these teams lost during the week or will be playing over the next two days. Duke is 3-4 in the ACC right now. No one saw that coming. I don't expect Wake Forest to beat Duke today but I didn't think NC State would walk out of Durham with a win either. My biggest concern is for UNC to take care of Miami.

They cut Kentucky's lead in half in the last minute or so before halftime. Nerves.

The kids pulled off a win at Lexington! I never know which team will show up. We haven't won at West Virginia in 4 years now. I usually look forward to March...ahh who am I kiddin', I still do, but this team is just so hard to figure out. They often play down to their competition, and that is gonna bite 'em on one of the road trips I'm sure.

Duke beat Wake at the end of a game they should not have won.

Crazy basketball times we live in.

We'll see if the Heels decide to show for their next game.

UNC hung on to beat Pitt last night but if they don't get their mess straight the last half of conference play is going to suck.

Bummer.

Missed FTs cost you the close games.

I hate Dook.

It's just hard to fathom how many times a great player will miss free throws. Josh Jackson is a coin flip at the line, but put a defender in his face and I'll take that chance everytime. haha

He did hit a big one today at Texas Tech to keep KU first in the Big XII for the time being. I still feel this is a shaky team and anything can happen. They tend to play just well enough to keep winning and don't seem to have that instinct to put away a team that they should be much better than, talent-wise. I always play a march madness bracket game, but this year I may not be the homer I usually am.

Unbelievable comeback by Kansas last night vs. West Virginia. Down 14 with just over two minutes to play, wow. Of course when you only shoot 30 some percent...you find yourself down pretty quickly. This should do the kids some good going forward to keep plugging away and the shots will start falling.

Game had a March madness quality to it. Dickie V kept talking about a few fans that exited early, but of the 16300 in attendance, I doubt 100 left the building. If you EVER get the chance to attend a game at Phog Allen Fieldhouse, it's an experience unlike any other venue (in my limited experience).
