How did CGR vote?

I know I'm opening a can of worms, but I did this poll in 2012 as well and thought the results were really interesting. CGR has members with a lot of different perspectives, but not all of us like to weigh in on the political discussions here, and that probably skews our perception of CGR's average political leanings. And, of course, this election has been, uhhhhhhhhhhhh… quite something.

If I could just post the poll without a thread, I would, but I can't. The poll is anonymous, so feel free to vote and then leave the thread forever if you wish. Or talk about who you voted for, if you'd like. Broader discussion of the election may be better suited for the other thread here.

The polls have been open here for almost three hours. I had to be on the road early this morning so I haven't voted yet.

All I can say is that I am not voting for Clinton and I don't think I can make myself vote for Trump. I'm not a fan of Johnson or Stein either. There is a third party candidate on the ballot here that I am considering but at this point...I may not vote for President at all. I'm more concerned with state and local elections at the moment.

I voted for Gary Johnson. Not because I think Gary is such a great candidate necessarily, but I'd love to see the Libertarian party gain more traction, as it most closely mirrors my values.

I'm curious if anyone is voting for Evan McMullin. He is on the ballot here in Iowa and in I think 13 other states? I know quite a few people who really like him.

I finally got the chance to vote. I went for a different third party candidate than the ones listed.

God is great.

On a sad note, I didn't get an "I Voted" sticker.

Bummer.

My wife's place of business doubles as a polling place, so she is dropping off my absentee ballot along with her own, and getting me a sticker. The sticker is to prove I voted for a Bears vs. Babies stretch goal challenge.

I voted third party, as I have many times recently. Which is kind of funny, because if I were to re-cast my votes for 2000-2012, I likely would not have voted third party in any of them.

Absentee voting is the best. No lines, I can do my ballot in the comfort of my own home as I am doing research on local and state candidates and measures... It was good. I ended up abstaining on one state measure and three local races.

So based on the previous poll, the candidate with the least votes in this poll will win.

Wrote in various historical figures. And Pope Francis. Also voted for Jim Gray for senate. Sorry, Rand. You were kind of a disappointment.

I voted for the Republican Party ... and the guy they didn't want to choose.

(come to think of it, I didn't really want to choose him either!)

I didn't vote for reasons that I hope are obvious.

I'm following this thread because I'm intrigued to see how CGR votes.

You didn't vote though you're not proud
'Cos you're Canadian and you're not allowed?
Give it a go or throw in the towel
Stand all alone or swim through the crowd
No one around to help you decide
It's time to make up your mind
